Grayware

Grayware are programs that are neither spyware or a virus. The best example I have of this is all those desktop weather icons. The take up system resources, may unsecure your software firewall by opening ports that should be closed. You can keep or remove these at your descresion.

The best way to do that is (Windows)to go to Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Program, and find the software by name.
