Listen to my reviews if you want the real truth!

Lets face it based on current box office trends most people are the biggest morons around. They go see inane drivel like Rush Hour 3 when far better movies are available. Based on this premise I will point out the movies that you should see, because they are at least half-way decent or better.

American Gangster

Decent way to spend some money.

Well I just saw this movie last Saturday and I must say it was nothing special. It is rather ironic though that Russel Crowe playing the part of a NYPD cop when he was actually arrested by one a short time ago. Russel smashed a bellboys head in with a telephone. The bellboy had only asked him if he wanted turn down service.

Back to the movie review though Denzel Washington is passable as a mob boss. Russell Crowe plays himself like usual except this time he has a badge.

I recommend this movie over nearly any movie released right now. I will be seeing Beowulf tomorrow and will have a review for you soon.

Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Brian Grazer and Ridley Scott team to tell the true juggernaut success story of a cult figure from the streets of 1970s Harlem in American Gangster.

Nobody used to notice Frank Lucas (Washington), the quiet driver to one of the inner city's leading black crime bosses. But when his boss suddenly dies, Frank exploits the opening in the power structure to build his own empire and create his own version of the American Dream. Through ingenuity and a strict business ethic, he comes to rule the inner-city drug trade, flooding the streets with a purer product at a better price. Lucas outplays all of the leading crime syndicates and becomes not only one of the city's mainline corrupter's, but part of its circle of legit civic superstars.

Richie Roberts (Crowe) is an outcast cop close enough to the streets to feel a shift of control in the drug underworld. Roberts believes someone is climbing the rungs above the known Mafia families and starts to suspect that a black power player has come from nowhere to dominate the scene. Both Lucas and Roberts share a rigorous ethical code that sets them apart from their own colleagues, making them lone figures on opposite sides of the law. The destinies of these two men will become intertwined as they approach a confrontation where only one of them can come out on top.

The acting is somewhat passable the script is decent. Lets just say you could do far worse on picking another movie this week.

I gives this movie a 7 out of 10.

Meet the Spartans Trailer, American Gangster, Beowulf

Meet the Spartans is most likely the biggest pile of crap to be shown in movie form. If you intend to watch this make sure you bring a IQ of 70 or less.

Spoof movies have not been good since Blazing Saddles or Spaceballs.

In addition to that I have trailers for Beowulf and American Gangster. Again these movies are far more promising then most of the crap out right now.
