Great Disney Songs to Walk Down the Aisle with at Your Wedding

Ranked #110 in Weddings, #7,951 overall

Beautiful Disney Wedding Songs

Looking for wedding procession songs? Although it is quite traditional for a bride to walk down the aisle to Here Comes the Bride, why not break from tradition and choose a song that will forever be associated with your wedding. Being the huge Disney fan that I am, I chose to use Disney music for my wedding.

The wedding party walked down the aisle to Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. I chose So This Is Love from Cinderella while I walked towards the altar. I decided to go with the movie version, although James Ingram has recorded quite a nice version of the song.

Another song from Cinderella that would work nicely is A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes. You could either use the original song from the movie or the version by Michael Bolton. The movie Cinderella isn't the only Disney movie that has some great songs that would work for wedding.

If having an evening or nighttime wedding, consider Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King performed by Elton John. Another great song is A Whole New World from Aladdin. I personally like the movie version of the best, although a nice version was also recorded by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle.

Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid, originally recorded by Jodi Benson, can also make for a good song choice. This same song has also been recorded by Jessica Simpson. If you believe in wishes and dreams, When You Wish upon a Star from Pinocchio could be the perfect song choice for you. There's the original song or the updated one recorded by Jesse McCartney.

As you can see, there are many different Disney wedding songs that could be perfect for walking down the aisle on the most special day when you get married.

Disney Love Songs for Weddings

DisneyI know how important it is to find just the right song to walk down the aisle to. Not only did I use Disney music to walk down the aisle, I also used it when we exited the church, for our entrance into the reception, our first dance, our last song, plus sprinkled throughout other parts of our reception.

The song Beauty and the Beast is beautiful song walk down the aisle to. You can even use the original soundtrack version or the version by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. Another pretty song is Candle on the Water performed by Helen Reddy from the movie Pete's Dragon.

From the movie An American Tale comes the song Somewhere out There. Although you probably wouldn't want to use the movie soundtrack version, a beautiful rendition was recorded by Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram. An additional song for consideration is Bella Notte from the movie Lady and the Tramp.

Not only can you use a Disney song to walk down the aisle to, but for walking back up when the ceremony is over. A great combination would be to play So Close from Enchanted while walking down the aisle and Ever Ever After from the same movie while walking back.
Fortunately for Disney fans, there are a lot of choices when it comes to Disney love songs.

Disney Wedding Music for a Reception

type=textIf you love Disney music, why not incorporate it into the reception? There are some fun songs that are great for dancing. Try the Macarena dance version of The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room. Go retro with Macho Duck. This is a takeoff of the 1970s novelty song Disco Duck, originally recorded by Rick Dees.

Some of the Disney Channel stars have some great dance tunes. There's Hannah Montana's Pumpin' Up the Party and Selena Gomez's Shake it Up, not to mention Mitchell Musso's Shout It or the Jonas Brothers' Burnin' Up. Push It to the Limit, from the original Disney Channel movie Jump In, is another good choice as is Dance Me if you Can by the Cheetah Girls.

Get everyone up and on their feet in a conga line with Sebastian's version of Feeling Hot Hot Hot! from The Little Mermaid. Earlier in this lens I wrote about love songs that can be used while walking down the aisle at a wedding. Don't forget to include some of these during reception as well as romantic, slow dance songs.

It truly is easy to incorporate Disney songs and music into all aspects of a wedding and reception from slow love songs to upbeat dance music.

It's nice to break from tradition once in a while, and Disney does have some very nice songs to walk down the aisle to. It would feel as if your own fairytale is coming true.

You like tthe Cheetah Girls too? They are awesome, though not quite as good as when Raven was a front singer with them. I loved Dance Me if You Can though. Lovely lens, very romantic. Blessed! :)
  • WriterJanis May 21, 2012 @ 1:14 pm | delete
I also preferred the Cheetah Girls when Raven was with them.

What a great idea for a lens. I would not have thought to play Disney songs at my wedding. My daughters might be another story.

    Wouldn't that be fun!
  • suzy-t Apr 4, 2012 @ 8:04 am | delete
When You Wish Upon A Star is my all-time favorite. No weddings in the near future for me but with three teen daughters...maybe !... I'd cry for sure if they chose that as their wedding song. Wonderful lens. Blessed...
  • WriterJanis Apr 5, 2012 @ 1:05 am | delete
Thank you very much for the blessing!
