Flavorbean Flavored Coffee
The company's founders - lifelong pioneers in the flavor industry - developed Flavorbean's chemical solvent-free methods in response to our culture's over dependence on unhealthy chemicals and petroleum-based products. Instead of slathering beans with bitter-tasting, propylene glycol-based flavorings, we have found a way to infuse coffee beans directly with actual flavor ingredients. This ensures that you can enjoy a healthy, natural coffee without sacrificing the full-bodied flavor and smoothness you expect from the best.

Did you know every year over 400 million cups of coffee are consumed worldwide?
A bit of Coffee History
Coffee is one of the most popularly consumed beverages that are prepared from the seeds of the coffee plant, known as coffee beans. The arrival or introduction of coffee could be dated back to the 9th century, when it was found out in the Ethiopian highlands. It is said that it was first observed by the shepherds, who found the goats to have revived energy after taking wild coffee berries; they concluded it to have some amount of caffeine in it to have such effects. The coffee beans were then spread over to Yemen and Egypt and by the 15th century several places including the northern territories of Africa, along with Persia and Turkey had been consummated by the smell of coffee.Much later on the coffee beans were spread over to Italy from these Muslim nations, furthering them to move over to the Indonesia, American lands and the remaining European nations. The actual coffee bean remains concealed within the coffee berries that are grown on mass scale all over the world, from one genus to another. The endosperm that covers up almost 0.8 to 2.5% caffeine, are the strong reasons for the plants to grow this popular and be cultivated in such huge mass, all over the world. However, the truth about coffee beans is that it had been first roasted and then brewed in Arabia, which set the trend of doing the same from then onwards.
Although there had been serious protests to ban coffee, as it was then considered to be a Muslim drink, the then Pope Clement III reckoned it to be Christian beverage, in the year 1600. The year 1645 saw the opening of the first coffee house in Europe, and the utility of the beverage spread gradually from Venice to all other parts of the globe. More so credit goes to the Dutchmen for having imported coffee for the first time, that too on a massive scale, who later chose Ceylon and Java to be the growing land for these coffee beans. This was the beginning of a trade that started in the year 1711, when the first Indonesian coffee production was exported to the Netherlands from Java.
Considering the efforts made by the East India Company of the British the popularity of the beverage, which could be taken hot or cold, grew further amongst the Englishmen as well. As time passed by coffee was taken up as easily by the French, the Austrians and even the Polish; being introduced in 1657 in France, it was not before 1683 that the others became aware of it. After the Battle of Vienna, where the Turks were defeated, the people of Austria and Poland discovered coffee beans in their supplies. Nevertheless, it grew to be much popular in Europe than it were to be initially in the states of America, where the trend of coffee spread much later during the colonial period.
It was during the Revolutionary Wars, which saw the massive revolution in coffees demand in the American markets. This prompted the dealers to stock pile the limited supply that they had, and increase the prices drastically, to curb the situation going out of control. The basic reason for this was that the British merchants had cut the supplies of tea, after the War of 1812, promoting the American people to refine their taste of coffee. Even during the American Civil War, the demand of coffee was sky rocketing as was the advancements with the brewing technology. By this time coffee beans and the beverage itself had cut out a niche, amongst the everyday commodity of people.
There have been several methods to produce the coffee beans from the earlier days, among which the one used initially was to grow the plants under shades of trees. This process provided it to become the general habitat of several animals and other insects, prompting modern methods in which they are grown under the full exposure of the sun. In the newer methods of coffee bean production, the coffee plants are grown in linear rows, without the canopy on their head. This process leads to the production of huge quantities of coffee beans, but requires greater amount of pesticides and fertilizers, along with the cleaning of trees from time to time.
There are several processes to be undergone until the final form of ready coffee is obtained, as we see it normally. The entire process of roasting and brewing is done to get the best out of each and every coffee seed, varying them according to their tastes. After careful sorting out of the coffee beans, they are sent for fermentation, which is required to get rid of the mucilage present over the substance. Once the fermentation is complete the entire load of coffee beans are put into water to get rid of the residue from the process. All this also includes the caramelization of the beans, as the intense heat tends to break down the starches present within them.
Even the preparation of the coffee has been an art from the ancient days, as there were different flavors obtained owing to the different brewing techniques that were developed from one place to another. Furthermore, the grinding is also of great importance once you have to consider the quality of the product. The Turkish grind is considered to be the finest grains of coffee taken by individuals, whereas the French press is supposedly the coarsest of all the different types of coffee.
Nowadays, Brazil is by far the largest manufacturer of coffee along with several other nations, who have taken their taste to this particular beverage. Furthermore, coffee trade has become a thrifty business, from the early days since it was first exported over to Netherlands. The popularity of coffee has led to the increasing production and tremendous marketing value of the product. In recent times, different varieties of coffee making have been accepted all over the world, for the people to choose the one perfectly suited for them.
