Great Family Christmas Movies

A classic oldie but a goodie! This Christmas movie, It's a Wonderful Life is still one of the most loved and watched Christmas movies of all time. It stirs the heart and speaks volumes to people! A story of a man named George Bailey, living in the depression era and he attempts to committ suicide on Christmas Eve and he is helped by an angel! A very touching story! Very highly rated!

The movie 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' is based on the book from 1957 by Dr. Suess. The story is about the 'Who's of Whoville who love Christmas more than any holiday of the year. The 'Grinch' a hairy green creature lives north of Whoville and despises Christmas. The grinch lives with his mangy dog named Max! The grinch tries to ruin Christmas for the 'Who's by burglarizing their town. The story does have a happy ending... a fun holiday movie!

One of my all time favourite Christmas movies, A Charlie Brown Christmas is based on the comic strip 'Peanuts' by Charles M. Schultz. Charlie Brown finds himself in a saddened state at Christmas time, overwhelmed by the commercialism of the season. He begins searching for the true meaning of Christmas. His buddy 'Linus' and Charlie Brown set out to buy a big shiny Christmas tree for the Christmas pageant, instead Charlie Brown brings back a spindely, living Christmas tree. Lucy and the peanuts gang are not pleased with Charlie Browns decision and they let him know! In the end the tree is saved and Charlie Brown realizes that he doesn't have to let commercialism ruin his Christmas! A great family Christmas movie.

Frosty the Snowman is a delightful Christmas movie. The story of a young girl named Karen and her friends who build a snowman and call him 'Frosty'. The kids find an old tophat that a magic professor has thrown away. When the hat is placed on 'Frosty's head the snowman comes to life. Frosty begins to worry about melting away, and the children try to help. In the end Frosty returns to the North Pole but remember he'll be back again someday! A great Christmas classic for big and little kids!

My boys loved watching this movie, 'The Santa Clause' over and over again when they were little! Starring 'Tim Allen' in this Disney production. The movie is about a man (dad) Scott Calvin, who finds himself destined to become Santa Clause, once he puts on the 'red suit' he is the real Santa Clause. He begins to grow a beard, a jolly belly and begins to fill out the suit. Once he realizes there is nothing he can do to get out of being Santa Clause he starts to fulfill all his duties. HIs little son Charlie, plays a big role in this adventure too... another great Christmas movie!

An ABC original family movie, filmed in Canada. This is a great story with a romantic touch! The story of Mary, who is a business women who runs her own marketing and business advice company. Mary's parents still live at the North Pole, you guessed it she is 'Santa's daughter. Santa is unwell and Mrs. Claus, Mary's mom calls her to come and help get ready for the big day! Of course Mary goes but has an interesting time of running things with all of those elfs. Can she run things like her father? Mary then finds out that her long, lost love is stilled working as a mailman at the North Pole too! A great Christmas story...

In this funny Christmas movie. Mr. Wilson acts just like Scrooge. Dennis is dealing with his own problems with a neighborhood bully but he tries to show Mr. Wilson some Christmas spirit! Dennis ends up causing his usually damage to property and angers Mr. Wilson. In the end an Angel of Christmas, past, present and future comes to help save Christmas for the families! A twist on a the classic 'A Christmas Carol.'
