Circuit Training or Interval Workouts Are Extremely Effective For Getting Great Flat, Hard Abs

Even if your abdominal muscles are already firm and toned, you won't see your great flat, hard abs if you do NOT do cardio workouts to burn body and belly fat effectively.
By doing circuit-training or interval workouts, you can actually get results in half the time.
If you use an exercise video or attend an exercise class with circuit-training or interval workout, you get a series of exercises with "break periods" in between. These "break periods" actually MAXIMIZE the fat-burning effect of your workout.
You can have multiple "break periods" when you're using a stationary bike. Just pedal as fast as you can for 30 seconds or more... then rest by pedaling slowly for about a minute -- repeat this fast and slow cycle. You can have a good workout for as little as 6 minutes. Of course, you can workout longer to burn more fat.
Only do this with a stationary bike. It's not safe to do this during a regular bike ride.
You can have multiple "break periods" when you're running. Sprint for about 30 seconds and then jog or walk for about a minute -- repeat this fast and slow cycle. Just like stationary biking, you can also have a good workout for as little as 6 minutes. And of course, you can workout longer to burn more fat.

This means that even if your fat-burning workout routine was effective in helping you lose belly and body fat when you first started out... it will STOP WORKING after a while.
We all need to vary our exercises to create some form of "muscle confusion;" otherwise, our bodies tend to adapt or get used to our workout routine.
