What happened to Great Earth Vitamin Stores?

This is the story of what happened to Great Earth Vitamin Stores. The quality and purity of the great formulas lives on!

Great Earth Vitamin Stores are now Earth Wise Nutrition Centers!

Great Earth Vitamins Corporate Headquarters closed March, 2009. Numerous years of product outages combined with financial struggles led the once "respected company" to cease operations. Meanwhile, the remaining independently owned Great Earth stores spread throughout the US decided to bond together as the family they have grown to be and take charge of their own destiny.

Earth Wise Nutrition Centers

Viva Vitamins replace the Great Earth formulas

They created Earth Wise Nutrition Centers with Bernard Kash (a Great Earth store owner since the early 1990s) at the helm to lead this family to a prosperous future. Teaming up with a group of highly respected professionals, doctors, scientists and nutraceutical formulators, they improved the quality and efficaciousness of the Great Earth formulas which are now called Viva Vitamins.

Viva Vitamins

Viva Vitamins are proudly made in the USA. You can purchase the Viva Vitamins products with the same confidence as you did buying the Great Earth products for the last 37 years.

Great Earth does not exist so how can you compare? Going by your logic, the number of products they offer is zero. Therefore, Viva offers MORE products than Great Earth.

Yes, it is true that they could not recreate all the Great Earth formulas all at once and do it right. Many products were rejected more than once during development as they did not meet the high standards. Very soon, you will see an equivalence chart on the site that shows dates when additional products are expected to arrive and the chart will also show the many products that are currently in R & D.
The products themselves are even better than the old products but this takes time, time well spent. As hard as it is for the stores and the customers, Viva would rather wait a little longer for a product and get it right than produce a product that doesn't meet the customers and the stores high standards. Be patient. You are used to the best and you will get it soon.

Viva Vitamins are not as good as Great Earth because their Website has very few products which is unacceptable. The only product that i saw that I would order was B-complex. I am sorry buth they have a very good chance of losing me as a good customer!

We have come back stronger with better products and a more solid foundation to insure our company can compete in our ever changing economic times. I want to thank all of our loyal customers for toughing it out with us through our evolution into Earth Wise Nutritional Centers.

Thanks, Debbie. As store owners we are very concerned about what is in the bottle, not what the label is. The formulas, quality, purity, and potency are the top priority. We are thrilled to have Viva as our flagship line of supplements in our Earth Wise (formerly Great Earth)stores.
