Great Ocean Road Drive
The Great Ocean Road stretches along the South Eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool and is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives.
The Great Ocean Road hugs tightly to the coast, offering outstanding views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. The section near Port Campbell covers some of the most scenic coastline in the world, because of its weathered striking and dramatic natural rock formations.

Great Ocean Road Drive
The Great Ocean Road starts 100km south west of Melbourne and works its way along the stunning coastline of Victoria's south-west. The Great Ocean Road drive is recognised as one of the world's most scenic coastal drives, it is over 300 kilometres long, and stretches from Torquay, just south of Geelong, to Warrnambool.Torquay is a very popular surfing spot and the Great Ocean Road drive winds past a collection of surfing and swimming beaches.
Between Anglesea, Lorne and Apollo Bay the road features the beautiful contrast of the ocean beaches on one side and the unspoiled forests and mountains of the Otway Ranges on the other. At Apollo Bay the Great Ocean Road leaves the coast momentary and winds through the rainforest of Cape Otway.
The Great Ocean Road returns to the coastline along the entire length of the Port Campbell National Park. This stretch of The Great Ocean Road drive offers the most dramatic coastal scenery of the whole trip, with the road twisting and turning along the cliffs. Along this stretch of the Great Ocean Road are the collection of rock sculptures such as 'The Twelve Apostles' and 'London Bridge'.
Just before the road leaves the coast is Peterborough, where the Curdies River enters the sea in a wide sandy inlet - very popular with fishermen and swimmers.
Warrnambool marks the end of The Great Ocean Road drive and is famous for whale watching from May through to September each year. The whales can be viewed from a raised platform on the beach. Warrnambool also has great beaches for swimming and surfing, it also has a huge adventure playground with flying foxes for the children or the children at heart.
