Just Look at Those Teeth !

Scary great white shark images

great white shark images

They have around 3000 teeth! These are on lots of rows. The front 2 rows are used to grab and cut prey . The other rows of teeth are used when the front ones drop out or are broken or worn.

Yeah, if protected by a shark cage

arianna says:

i just love sharks i am doing it for a class project

grace says:

yes a great white with no cage

Swetankraj says:

I love animals and as a profession of photography if would get a chance i would definitely love it.

maggy says:

yeah, it would be very cool to see a great white shark.

Tom says:

Yes because they don't prey on us they usually only take bites to see what it is then they usually bugger off when they realize it tastes awful

No way, I wouldn't get close to anything with that many teeth.... looking at these images is enough for me

tchrofengl says:

I have a healthy respect for sharks. They're majestic, powerful, and almost godlike, but no way would I get in the water with one, cage or not. Just too terrifying. :)

Ladymermaid says:

Nope! No way and not a chance.

brian says:

year if they wear sexy anuf and friendly anuf

Have you Been Face to Face with a Shark ?

  • grace Apr 7, 2012 @ 3:07 pm | delete
no but that would be awesome

I have never met a shark while swimming and I must say that I really would not look forward to the experience. I am a conservationist but would rather that sharks stay in deeper water than I visit ;)

Yes when we all went fishing my brother had one on his fishing line it wasn't a great white it was a grey nurse, I can't say that I am really fond of them though

I've never been face to face with a dangerous shark. When we were younger and before kids, my wife and I used to scuba dive off of California. We would often see and touch small horn sharks (I think that's what they were called). About a month ago, a young man was killed by a great white right off of our local beach. Great pictures. Wonderful lens.

There seems to be more and more shark attacks now. That sounds really close to home though. Think that would put me off going in.

Yeah, we've had a few. This most recent attack bit the surfers leg off and it hasn't been found. About 3 years ago, a teacher was killed in the water about 40 miles north of here. So, we don't go in too deep here! :-)

Yep, I've been face to face with a shark but not a Great White. It's shark season where I live right now and time to get out of the water

They give me the collywobbles. Must be one of the most scary creatures - but loved the photos, I'm pretty safe where I am now!

Yikes! Certain animals scare the heck out of me. Great white sharks are one. Grizzly bears are another. Why are great whites so sensitive? Were they teased by the seals when they were little? This is an excellent lens! Very informative...with lots of scary pictures! Thank you very much for visiting my Magazine Cartoon Quiz. You get extra credit for making the attempt because you probably never even saw an American magazine when you were growing up. :) Favoriting and 5-starring your lens.

I enjoyed this lens. Always had a thing for sea creatures. 5*s and favorited.
