Put Some Rrrrrr! Into Your Writing!

Feeling a little anti-creative? Perhaps these writing tips and insights can give you a little boost. We all can't be Pulitzer prize winners, but at the very least we can get our points across in such a way that a reader can get to know us on a deeper level, and hopefully want to continue to know us and read our writings!

These Ten R's will put some Roar into your writing!

RRRRRR!!!

1. Writing is Re-writing! Writing is an art. Just like a sculptor chips, or a painter paints, a writer writes. A written idea must be examined, bent, and worried from all angles to get the idea in your mind to flow unrestricted to the mind of your reader.

2. Writing is Risk! Risky in the sense that you are baring a part of you to be either scoffed or heralded. Don't be afraid of risk. Challenge your readers, and challenge yourself. Risk paves the way to...Reward!

3. Write to Rivet! Strive for that best title and opener. Rivet the attention of your readers from the beginning!

4. Writing by the Rules! Proper punctuation and spelling is like polish on chrome. Make it shine baby!

5. Writing is Repetitive! A writer often repeats and reworks an old idea. Every individual has their own unique spin on just about everything. Trust your individuality and dive in!

6. Writing is Resolve! Every finished work brings a sense of fulfilment and pride. Resolve to finish that project, or get that idea across to your reader if it's the last thing you do!

7. Writing is Research! Know your subject. Read about it, live it. Your own unique perspective will develop with your knowledge.

8. Writing is Reasonable! Be reasonable with your writing goals. Start small and work your way into larger projects. Build on success. Each article, or blog is leading you closer to The Big One!

9. Writing is Resources! Internet is great for getting your feet wet, but read some books too. Watch some documentaries, news stories, interview and ask questions. Get to know some writers. This goes hand in hand with research.

10. Writing is Reinvention: Reinvent that part of you which creates. Keep it fresh and inspired. Read about creativity. Know creative people. Have creative conversation. Live life! Always come to your writing desk or computer fresh and lived in.
