Greek Recipes

Greek Food is definitely an important part of the Greek culture and as you may have already noticed Greeks value family dinners and Sunday's lunch very much. The housewives cook different dishes based on Greek Recipes which are all served on the table and enjoyed by the whole family accompanied by white or red wine and sometimes ouzo when fish dishes exist on the table.

Apart from the parents and children it is quite common having as guests the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and although there are too many people sitting around the table and the atmosphere is festive this is not a rare occasion but rather a tradition valued by all Greeks. Views and jokes are exchanged and sometimes quarrels on sports or politics may come up but this is common too... Greeks are very passionate when it comes to supporting their views and all these traits are that make them stand out from other people. Having the opportunity to sit at such a family lunch or dinner is quite an experience!
