greed; a selfish and excessive desire for more of something

Completely Fed Up with Selfish People
When we came to this small town, we did so with high hopes and passion to be a part of a community that was small enough to wrap our arms around.
It didn't dawn on me that the life lessons that I was in store for would come in like tidal waves. First puncturing my heart with emotions that I guess I wasn't prepared for.
Good, bad or indifferent, the extreme series of events and emotional roller coaster that I have endured since moving here is now becoming easier to manage.
In my heart...I truly believe that people mean well, or so I thought they did. Maybe, the answer is is that most people don't think to the end. They just open their mouths and mean things spill out.
Considering myself to be an unusual being, things of a monetary nature don't mean much to me. Yes..have to have money to live...but it doesn't make me who I am. I very seldom ask people for anything. It keeps me safe from more heartbreak and disappointment, as they usually say no. So why ask? I can really do it myself.
You will never hear me challenge people that are challenging me in regards to money. It's just not worth it.
I've decided that these selfish situations will be let go of, the minute they arrive. My venting is written on this page and I will leave it at that.
Politically correct or not...put a fork in it.
Gandhi's Seven Deadly (and I mean deadly) Sins...
- Wealth without Work
- Pleasure without Conscience
- Science without Humanity
- Knowledge without Character
- Politics without Principle
- Commerce without Morality
- Worship without Sacrifice
Just because we live in possibly the most pampered, consumerist society since the Roman Empire...it fell. Remember?
Eyes Wide Open
Give it a rest.

I've decided that living in a small town society that...If we're being run out of town, we're going to get in front of the crowd and make it look like a parade. Yipppeee!
Pleasure without Conscience
Get a grip people.
Quit being so ignorant.
A man is called selfish not for pursuing his own good, but for neglecting his neighbor's. ~Richard Whately
Quit being so selfish
Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.... You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. ~Martin Luther King, Jr.-
Thank you. I'm so grateful you're here.

So you think you're immortal. That must be why you think you have the right to lie, cheat and steal. Shameful.
Spiritually Perilous
Doesn't matter which...there are still Seven very Deadly Sins

We are not human beings going through a temporary spiritual experience...we are spiritual beings going through a temporary human experience.
In criminal law, theft is the illegal taking of another person's property without that person's freely-given consent. The word is also used as an informal shorthand term for some crimes against property, such as burglary, embezzlement, larceny, looting, robbery, shoplifting, fraud and sometimes criminal conversion. In some jurisdictions, theft is considered to be synonymous with larceny; in others, theft has replaced larceny.
Someone who carries out an act of or makes a career of theft is known as a thief, and the act of theft is known as stealing, thieving, or sometimes filching.

- I am with you on this topic. We Americans spend too much, waste too much, are too much of a "me" generation, and have a run-a-way government. We are seeing the falling of a great country because of greed. We all need to do our part and write our government representatives to let them know we love our country and we do not want to see it fail. We must have a controlled budget and we must control spending.
