I really like your lens! I am trying to be as green as I possibly can and trying to get the rest of my family into doing the same. Great job!

Thanks for the information! I'd like to say that green products can be wonderful, but you do need to take into account where the products are produced. Buying a cloth bag made in China, for example, means that there is a giant carbon footprint associated with it being brought to the U.S. So "green" may not be so green after all. Also, the environmental damage done by consuming meat and other animal products is mind-boggling. If you're interested in learning more about vegan lifestyle issues, I invite you to visit some of my lenses.

Important tips and ideas. If we can all do one thing different every week, I'm sure we will all benefit. Blessed!

Nice lens, you bring up some great tips. For those people that want to still use bottled water I would recommend going with 5 gallon glass bottles that can be used with a water cooler. Glass is not made from petroleum like plastic is and the large 5 gallon bottles are refillable - much less waste. Plus glass will not leach at all.

I love all of your tips! Even if all would follow even half of them the planet would be so much better off.

Great lens, I have written one also on going green, but I think you have done a much better job of it than I did. Thanks for sharing.

this was an interesting lens which states the importance of going green and creating awareness on going green. you can also install a solar panel system on your residence to save energy by means of going green.

In our century is all about green consciousness. Going green is the most important issue that will shape our future-we have reached a tipping point on the environment.
So it's time to go green indeed, stop polluting the planet now.

Great Green tips and info. I hadn't considered all of these, so thanks for the education. Thankfully our tap water is excellent so bottle watered isn't necessary. 5 stars, fav and lensrolled.

Very comprehensive. When buying bulk I thought I was just saving money, but larger packages does mean less. But of course, I look at greeting cards differently. lol If the P.O. is delivering junk mail anyway, go ahead and toss in your handmade greeting card.
    Thanks for visiting.

I have a dilemna. I really want to recycle but we lost our car last year. Our town does not have a recycling program where they pick it up at the curb. You have to take your plastic bottles to the recycling center at Walmart. Which is very difficult to do on a bus. So the benefits of not driving a car are outweighed by having to throw all those bottles in the trash. Sigh, I feel very guilty every time I do. Great lens, lenrolling it to my Gaia- Earth Mother lens. Thanks for your visit.

Wonderful tips! The whole plastic water bottle thing baffles me. Don't people know they're worth 5 cents? I always assumed that people recycled their empties if nothing else, just to get the deposit. Turns out there are plenty of clueless people just tossing their bottles and cans into the trash. Scary!

Love this lens. I don't always remember to take my recycled bags to the grocery store but I always ask for a box for my groceries, almost every store has them leftover from their merchandise. I get a D- for not using my own water bottle and coffee mug. Thanks for the reminder.
