It's a matter of both making the home eco-friendly and following a small footprint lifestyle.

We try to be conscious of the environment in everything we do including decorating our home and maintaining our home. Great ideas for doing just that. Blessed by the Interior Design Angel.

We certainly try to be eco friendly - the iron is this; two teenage daughters lecture us about all things green and then leave lights on, appliances on and doors open in winter!

I am really happy to see more and more sustainable products on the design horizon, but there is still a long way to go. Great information. Thanks!

You are absolutely correct. Losing your home takes precedence over being eco-friendly. But being eco-friendly can also mean saving money, as well as the earth. And putting these practices in place in a wise manner will help everyone in the end.

My prayers are with anyone who is losing their home due to the current economy.

A touchy subject lately, as lots of people are losing their homes to the "Global Financial Crisis" (read Depression). Great information, however, Paula. Interesting and thought-provoking. 5 *s.
