    I dress my dogs up every year in these cute little chihuahua costumes and I usually just throw them out afterwards because they're cheap and because it's fun to see them in a new outfit each year. But in the name of helping out with our planet by reducing waste, I'm going to recycle their chihuahua clothes this year and keep them for the next Halloween. I might have to pay a bit more for the higher quality dog costumes so that they actually last a few years, but I think it will be worth it!

    So much stuff goes into the trash on Halloween, wrappers, bags, packaging, etc... Great resources and ideas here.

    Great ideas! Making your own costume is so much more FUN too! When I was younger I was a can of Cambles Soup! haha.
    I need to eat "better" candy. There is a such thing as "better candy" right? :)

    To save money and enhance creativity, go green!

    You can redesign your old costumes and spend less money than buying a new one.

    Wonderful ideas! You know, for the past 2 years we've re-used costumes. Of course, with 4 kiddos, that's pretty easy! We grow our own pumpkins and then roast the seeds and can the flesh. Yummy!
