Green Lantern Blackest Night Comics

The book of OA speaks of a prophecy about a blackest night that says:

A face of metal and flesh shall speak of the secrets of the 52. Fear will rise. Willpower will gather. And a wave of light will unleash the truth behind the power of the ring.

Greed wants Hope..
Fear wishes to extinguish Love..
Rage engulf Will Power..
and compassion, just want peace..

This is the verse Black Hand say after he pull Bruce Wayne(batman) Skull from the grave.

the darkness grows as all light dies

The Red Lantern Corps leader name is atrocitus. He hardened the power of rage, the power of rage is at the edges of the spectrum. Making it more difficult to control, the farther away you are from the middle the harder is the emotion to control and use. The red lantern only thing on revenge from the sinestro corps members who cause them fear and pain.

When their done with them, atrocitus plans to take revenge on the green lanterns guardians of the universe for the annihilation of all life, including his family on his entire space sector, with the exception of 5 survivors including atrocitus called the 5 inversion who were imprison.

The power of rage causes their wearer to become like wild beast who spew burning rage at their enemies. Anyone caught by this fire will start to feel anger and loose themselves or simply just die from the crimson fires of rage that cannot be put out except by the Blue Lanterns Corps.

Atrocitus words in one of the comics:

Do you hate? the most powerful hate is not born out of ignorance or prejudice or a perceived threat. Those three are fear in disguise.

Atrocitus oath to create the first red lantern power battery and power ring:

"With blood and rage of crimson red,
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
We'll burn you all--that is your fate!"

If you feel great rage in you heart, a Red Power Ring will find you and you cant escape from it.

Agent Orange was a thief billions of years before the events on the series, who together with some fellow thief stole a box and a map from the guardians of the universe.

They follow the map to a planet and in there to a sanctuary were they encounter an orange power battery by itself. When the last 3 surviving thief approach it, they felt like they want it and all 3 grab the battery as the guardians broke into the sanctuary to demand the box they stole from them back.

The box contain the entity of fear Parallax, and when they try to remove the thiefs from the orange battery, one of their own and manhunters robots felt to the orange light. Thus forcing the guardians to allow the last 2 remaining thief a proposition, that only one would be allow to keep the battery and larfleeze won.

The orange battery has hardened the emotion of greed, his holder has been in a constant hunger and a need for wishing to have everything for the past billions of years, and anyone that tries to steal from him, will loose more than he was hoping to obtain.

The emotion of greed is overpowering, larfleeze refuses to share with others, making him the only living member of the orange lanterns and using the identities of those who try to take from him as orange lanterns constructs. His favorite word is: MINE

This is a verse from a former guarding revealing to 4 green lanterns above the existence of the orange light of avarice:

"the orange light of avarice will be discovered and manipulated by a being whose greed knows no bounds",

Larfleeze oat has never been heard before, causing many to speculate that is the word mine. The character is very funny on his quest to have everything, where it has even had his own separate one time comic.

He believes Santa Claus his real and thus was heard that he was making a letter to Santa and asking him for well...everything. Larfleeze also went crazy with joy when he went to vegas hunting for a thief and saw an all you can eat buffet. Clearly the owner will go bankrupt.

The Sinestro Corps was founded by Sinestro a former green lantern gone rogue, after is banishment and return. Sinestro sought to show the guardians that they were doing more harm than good to the corps by instilling fear into the universe. Sinestro hardened the light of fear and formed his corps in order to force the guardians to change thieir recent laws.

After their battle with the green lanterns, some Sinestro Corps were taken prisoners, by an unknown power to them. But Sinestro investigate and found they were taken to Zamaron.

The Corps exist to instill great fear into the universe, causing many pain and suffering to the beings of the universe. They are partially responsible for the creation of the Red Lanterns Corps.

Sinestro was once the greatest of the green lanterns, a veteran lantern that can only be challenge by a veteran lantern like Hal Jordan, his former pupil.

The Sinestro Corps uses the emotion of fear to release the power of their rings, Which can do the same things as the Green Lanterns Corps.

This are Sinestro's words when he was creating his first yellow battery and a new yellow ring:

"In blackest day, in brightest night,
Beware your fears made into light.
Let those who try to stop what's right
Burn like my power--Sinestro's might!"

Those who can still great fear will be found by a Yellow Power Ring.

The Green Lanterns were created billions of years ago by the Guardians of the Universe.They hardness the emotion of Willpower and create an inter-galatic police force to keep the universe a peace.

The Green Lanterns Power Ring is capable of creating anything the users will allow him to, which is why some Lanterns are stronger than others. They have a stronger willpower.

Before the Corps was created the Guardians of the universe have an argument with each other on the best way to control the chaos. Some separate and become known as the Controllers, using more harsh methods to achieve their plans. The Guardians females counterpart the Zamaron decided not to get involved in he discussion.

The Green Lanterns Corps has to follow protocol for certain emergencies and there are only 2 Green Lanterns for every Sector. Well when you possessed one of the most powerful weapons of the universe, why would you need more than one partner.

This is the Oath the Lanterns have been using to charge their Power Ring:

"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might

If you have the ability to overcome great fear, someday a Green Power Ring will find you.

The Blue Lanterns Corps were created by the banished Guardians of the Universe Ganthet and Sayd who were found out to be in love from each other. Since the Guardians decided not to feel emotions billions of years ago they banished the loving couple for feeling love.

After they left the corps they imprison Parallax in 4 Power Battery of the 4 Earth Lanterns during the Sinetro Corps War. They went to a beautiful planet and while they were holding hands refusing to let the universe be destroy by the coming chaos a Blue Power Ring was formed between their holding hands.

The Power of Hope was harness then and they started to recruited people who have great hope in their heart. Their process after recruitment takes 3 days to explain the power of hope and give the chosen being the chance to become a light of hope.

They are the most powerful of the Lanterns, The Sinestro Corps looses their power ring energy fast, they can cure the rage from a victim of the spit of rage the Red Lanterns spits, they can take the hunger away of Agent Orange and none of his power work against a Blue Lantern, they can charge a Green lanterns Power Ring to more than 100%.

They are the saints of the universe with a mission to protected from the coming Blackest Night. One of my favorite Blue Lanterns is Saint Walker is fate is something to be admire.

This is the oath the chosen Lanterns says after learning for 3 days what it means to work for the universe, they get their ring and say this:

"In fearful day, in raging night,
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite.
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!"

The indigo tribe harness the power of compassion, is unknown were compassion was harness. What is known is that they only want to go though the universe spreading goodness.

The tribe has left everything material to follow the mission of compassion. The all shed their originals name and wear custom make clothes with the symbol of compassion.

The tribe is only know by a few beings, some want to destroy it others want to ally it. They can use the power of all the Corps, if they are in close vicinity. Compassion causes is bearers if they were bad to feel nothing, but compassion, thus saving that being.

Aside from that power, they can travel great space distances, that no other lantern can do, along with being able to heal the wounded, if their injuries are not that serious. If they are serious they will show compassion by not letting them die slow and painful.

The language of the tribe is unique, is the language of compassion and any power ring from the different corps cannot translate. Though they can speak other languages if they wish to.

There are 2 emotions on the far edges of the spectrum, rage and love. Tjey cause their users to feel those strong emotions to the point where they can't control themselves.

After many attempts to control the Star Sapphire, the zamarons decided to learn from a page of the Boo of Oa. That;s when they create the first Violet Power Battery and Power Ring that will ask the individuals they found if they want the ring, in order to ensure that the Star Sapphire doesn't control them.

Carrol Ferris was recruited once again by the Star Sapphire, but for the first time. She was in control, she accepted it to ensure that Hal Jordan survive the coming of the Blackest Night.

While on Zamaron, the Sinestro Corps came to rescue his members, and the battle between love and fear started. Carol and Sinestro clash, with the latter claiming that love was a lie, but it couldn't fool Carol and the Star, telling Carol that there was love inside his heart and he was imprison in a Star Sapphire Transformation Crystal where he was shown is greatest love, his dicease wife.

The Star Sapphires can feel when a love between 2 individuals in threaten by danger, and they will go to their rescue,. The Sapphire also has the power to show individuals their true love, even if 2 people are in a relationship with each other. It doesn't mean is there true love.

When Kyle and Soranik were shown their true love by the Star Sapphire Miri. Soranik saw Kyle, but kyle lie and told Soranik that he seem her. When in reality, he saw his decease girlfriend Jade.

The oath the Star Sapphires use to charge their rings:
