Green Lantern is the 2011 Superhero movie based upon comic books characters of the same name by DC Comics.

This action-packed superhero movie stars Ryan Reynolds as test pilot, Hal Jordan turned superhero, the Green Lantern.

Hal Jordan is the first human to be inducted into the Green Lantern Corps. This brotherhood of warriors chooses Hal Jordan to help keep intergalactic order against a new enemy "Parallax."

Each "Green Lantern" wears a special green ring with superpowers. Hal must learn to master the powers of his green ring and find the courage to overcome his fears. Will Hal Jordan overcome his fears and help destroy "Parallax" before it's too late?

"Green Lantern" was released in theatres on June 17, 2011 in amazing 3D. Green Lantern is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

GREEN LANTERN (2011) SCIENCE FICTION FILM

Canadian Actor, Ryan Reynolds stars in his third superhero film. He previously starred in Blade Trinity (2004) and X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). He plays test pilot turned superhero, Hal Jordan...the first human to become a Green Lantern.

Hal Jordan is the main Green Lantern character to be featured in the NEW Green Lantern Movie. He is the second DC Comics character to adopt the Green Lantern persona and the most popular.

Also starring are Blake Lively (Gossip Girl TV Series), Peter Sarsgaard (Knight & Day) and Mark Strong (Robin Hood).

Constructing the Green Lantern: From Page to Screen is the companion book to the new DC Entertainment Movie "Green Lantern." The introduction in the book is written by Geoff Johns. He is the Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment and a comic book writer.

Storyboard art, character sketches, and concept art are featured with still photos from the movie's sets. This collectible fan book is also filled with observations and insights from the producers, the art director and the film crew of "Green Lantern."

Ozzy Inguanzo who is Green Lantern's research and asset manager wrote the book. Geoff Johns is credited with the rise in popularity of the Green Lantern.

The Green Lantern (2011) Movie is based upon the superhero character "Green Lantern" published by DC Comics. The first superhero to be named "Green Lantern" was Alan Scott who appeared in the All-American Comics #16. The first publication of the "Green Lantern" comics was in the Golden Age Series in 1941. The Silver Age series introduced Hal Jordan as the second "Green Lantern" to revive the series. The Green Lantern Comic Series have ended and restarted many times. Hal Jordan has continued to be the most heroic and most popular "Green Lantern" for the last fifty years.
