Greener Cheaper Better
Green Printers save money and carbon footprint. A recent UKCRA (UK Cartridge Manufacturers Association) Report found savings of about 50% on carbon footprint with remanufactured laser cartridges could be achieved.
A refurbished printer - a good as new, fully warranted printer - is often required in order to facilitate a remanufactured cartridge.
This lens is more than a pitch, it is about a passion to save energy and not waste materials. For example a new car usually has better miles per gallon than its previous model. But a new printer will not necessarily produce lower carbon footprint or more pages per cartridge. You are better off with a green printer. End of story. Well we have a bit more to say!

Ever looked inside an inkjet cartridge?
Not suggesting you do, but 42ml is not a lot and it really does not cost a bundle. Sure, development costs need recouping, just like pharmaceutical companies need innovation money back; however let's be reasonable. So there is profit to be made. The same with toner.
Recycling Cartridges
Waste comes when the cartridge is thrown away. Plastic is like any material these days,durable compared to years ago and quality remanufacturers who do not break patents can legitimately recycle cartridges. UKCRA has guidelines and works with the manufacturers and authorities to promote these.

This is just as interesting to us though! Because many new printers are made in the Far East. Not in our view to the standards of recent models that can be refurbished by expert engineers. These green printers can last for years just like nearly new cars many people drive. And they will fit cartridges that deliver more pages than many new smaller cartridges in new printers. Saving 40-60% for people. It's a weird thing trying to get peoples' head around swapping new for old! But it is the best option very often.
It can mean lower cost but also options to rent, cost per copy and ....whatever the customer wants WHY?
Because the supplier has more flexibility than new equipment suppliers. Especially with leasing credit drying up.
