Green sea turtles are large, majestic, and reclusive animals. They glide through the water with powerful flippers, sometimes traveling at up to 35 miles per hour. Their beautiful shell protects them from predators of all shapes and sizes. Green sea turtles thrive in shallow, tropical waters, and must travel thousands of miles to nesting sites to reproduce.

Interesting Facts :D
- The largest green sea turtle recorded was 5 feet long, and weighed 871 pounds!
- In a great example of mutualism, green sea turtles enjoy having algae cleaned off their shells by gold-ring surgeonfish and yellow tangs. The turtle gets a clean shell, which helps it swim faster, and the fish enjoy a free meal.
