The dog waste compost would have been a good idea for us when we had 4 dogs but now with just one it hardly seems worthwhile. Wouldn't that be a good idea for a doggie park or a kennel though! So many pets dying of cancer these days. What's up with that! Any ideas? Maybe the chemicals on the lawns etc. as your lens suggests.
    Angel blessings!

Hi Cristen, good question! I applaud your aim to reduce. The important thing when deciding what to put on the bodies of our pups is the ingredients. Soaps free of harmful SLS, unnatural preservatives and other chemicals are what we recommend. So get to know your ingredients.

Some human grade 'soaps' may be too drying and harsh for pups. We utilize a good quality, organic, eco-friendly shampoo made especially for dogs. And JoJo doesn't get a bath very often. Maybe only every few months at the most. He does get very good brushings every few days, but only wipe downs if he gets super dirty. That way his skin stays nice and hydrated, and retains all the natural oils. I hope that helps!
  • cristen malvasio Jun 21, 2009 @ 12:17 pm | delete
i was wondering if anyone uses sal suds to wash their dogs? I have not tried it yet because I want to make sure it is safe for them. I love the smell and I would like to cut down on having different bottles of cleaners.
