Blueprints for a Greenhouse

If you are planning to build that greenhouse yourself, greenhouse blueprints doesn't have to reflect some engineering feat. If you plan to hire others to do it for you, then by all means, you can plan extensively with the details you have in mind.

Some factors to consider would be:

Budget

Yup, here we go again. Most of the time, budget is no fun. :) However, if you wish to get the best out of this planning process, you have to lay down a good budget which determines the labor and materials that you'll be using for this project.

Materials

Is your greenhouse made of wood? Metal? PVC? Or a mix of those? This is when budget comes in handy, for not all materials are created equal, budget-wise. And it does come with some advantage and disadvantages. There's always that trade-off.

An example is when you use PVC instead of wood. Sure, you'll be saving some money but PVC are just not as sturdy as wood or metal. You might want to think twice if you live in a very windy area.

Size

How big do you want your greenhouse to be? Is it 8'X12', 12'X 16' or do you want a very big and freestanding structure?

That all depends on your preference and needs whether you are a seasoned farmer or a hobbyist.

Ventilation

This is a very important factor in designing your greenhouse blueprints and could make the vast difference between success and failure in growing plants.

You would want to have a greenhouse blueprints that would give the plants exposure to morning sun. You need to have blueprints for a greenhouse that would work best during winter.
