What is Green Magick?
The main concept of Witchcraft in general is when someone uses the natural energy within the elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. And the energy from the elements is incorporated with your own personal energy to create positive change.
In Green Magick the "Witch" becomes the bridge between the magickal realm and the mundane world. What does this mean, you ask? It means that the Witch acts as a link between the energies of the magickal world and humanity bringing hope, healing and love to each world.
Hopefully, I will be able to explain Green Magick in a way that makes sense. With that being said, shall we get started?

The Green Path
One of the most wonderful things about walking a Green Path or working with Green Magick is everyone you speak to that works with the same path works with it differently. With that being said, this lens is about the way I have walked this path for many, many years.Green Magick is an ancient practice. It is a magick based on the natural system of the world, plants, herbs, trees and doing this regardless of your environment. It is a connection that I am not sure you can be taught or perhaps you have carried it over from previous lives. I believe by listening to our own hearts, we can connect with the plant world and natural world energies on a deep level.
When I started growing my own herbs; I actually went bonkers with the whole idea. I wanted to grow every herb I could think of and purchased many plants. In this whole process I also had many plants die on me. One day I sat down between the rows and was very sad but asked why this was happening. I closed my eyes and opened my higher self to hearing the voice of the plant kingdom. Finally I received my answer and listed to the advice I was given.
When you want to work with the Green Path, it takes a lot of patience. The plant world wants to teach you but you have to be able to tune in and listen to their teachings. So a bit of advice: Start slow if you are a beginner. Start growing a few plants at a time and learn what their uses are. Decide what you want to use the herb and study the properties it has and work with the energy from that plant.

Hedge Witch is another name..
Often people who practice Green Magick are referred to as Hedge Witch. Again according to: Wikipedia It emphasizes solitary working based around nature, as well as shamanic practices and herbalism.A Green Witch simply has a scared connection with all of the natural aspects of nature. Green Magick is not as much tradition as it is a way of life. For me this is fully my connection with nature, not only do I work with Green Magick but really I have worked with all of the elements which again all being part of Nature. Being like this is not something you go through for a little while like a fad, it is something that is connected to you like one of your limbs. The connection with Nature is as familiar to you and as real for you as existing in humanity world. I know TMI-Too much information but at this moment I am just trying to explain how important this connection is.
A Green Witch also works and flows in the Wheel of the Year. We can fully adapt fully to what our environment is. It does not matter what climate you live, what kind of home dwelling you have, whatever your situation is you find ways to work with Green Magick. As each season changes on the wheel, so does the activities and events we focus on. As an example on Samhain in the climate I live, I still have a little time to grow lettuce and plants that do not mind cooler weather. It is a time of Summer End, so this is the time to prepare your crops that you have harvested and begin to stock up for the colder months. I will add a module for the Wheel of the Year and things I do a little later.
The most important thing to remember is your will to discover your own unique connection to nature and the plant kingdom.

How Green Magick works!
Working with Green Magick means what? It means that people who are connected with the natural elements of Nature can incorporate herbs and other things from nature to use in a cauldron that also chants a little rhyming verse and makes something manifest. Well, this is true in an odd sense. It is a little more complex but this is the jest of it.Let's do a practice run: I am going to list my cauldron spell that I mentioned on my Magick vs Law of Attraction lens.
Everything you will need is right outside your back door or in your kitchen.
Gather some pine needles, save some of that orange peel from your lunch, and pick some of the mint and basil from your garden. You will need some paper, pen, one new coin (a penny will do), a cauldron or fireproof container and 2 green candles.
Cleanse the area you will be working in with white sage and lavender- I refer to this as smudging. Make sure you are not going to be disturbed and place everything in your space. You can do a formal circle closing if you choose. I have done it both ways.
Settle and calm yourself-close your eyes and breathe deeply. Call in your guides and familiars and protectors. Set the two green candles on each side of the cauldron anointed with your choice of oil (I use mint or basil) Light the candles (with matches) and focus on your intention. MAKE SURE THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT
On the paper write things you want to bring into your life, on the other side of paper write what you want to banish from your life. As example: I have written-I want more work for my job to come to me. On the other side of the paper I would write-I release the fear of not having enough money to make my credit card payment. The list can be as long or short as you want. But you must be exact!!
Place the penny inside the cauldron with some sage-roll your piece of paper up and light it from both candles and put into the cauldron. Add some of each of the herbs: pine, orange peel and mint to the cauldron. As everything is burning chant over and over:
These coins and more will surely be a way for prosperity to come to me. When you believe you have chanted it enough, say "As I will this, so shall it be!" the longer you chant, the higher your energy and vibrations get. (Instead of using the word prosperity you can add whatever word you want, I use "Work" a lot). Make sure that your paper has completely burned inside the cauldron; you want to make sure there are only ashes and the penny inside the cauldron when all is said and done.
After the candles have completely burned down, take the ashes, penny and wax droppings and bury them in the earth. Pat the earth and say "This spell is done"!
Always remember this: If you are expecting money to fall from the sky or a money tree to appear outside your door-you could wait a very long time. Spells do not work like that. I have mainly used the word "Work" because I knew having more work come my way meant I would have a bigger paycheck therefore having more money. This ritual/spell never failed me not once!
The pine, orange peel, mint and basil all have properties of money associated with them. So when you are using these herbs you are connecting with the essence of the herbs, the fire element, air element and the cauldron is a symbol of the West which represents water-so you are working with all Natures elements.

- Very thought provoking subject, I was especially drawn to your explanation of performing a magik ritual. I think that dependent upon people's beliefs, many perform rituals such as, meditation, prayer, or mantras. What might feel positive and right for one person may not necessarily feel positive and right for another. That is the beauty of being human, having the right to choose and having the heart to accept differences. I sure got a positive vibe from this lens, thank you.
