Great ideas. My granddaughter in 2nd grade is using the family computer instead of paper for spelling vocabulary drills. Dad or Mom dictate the word and use it in a sentence, and Bella types it up on screen. She gets practice with the spelling and saves paper. 5*s

    Very nice lens !
If ALL of us were more careful, our planet would not be in so much trouble.

We shop the thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales and of pass clothes and other items between several families to squeeze out ALL of the usefulness from them. Even then, often times these items are rused again as sewing fabric/rags/stuffing for draft stoppers... .

I am an Organic gardener too and believe the less harmful chemicals we all can use - the better we will ALL be.

    Organically Yours,
    Diana

The waste in schools is unimaginable. Children could be encouraged to use the other side of the paper or to cut off unused sections to be used again. In my classroom I have a scrap box and children use the paper in that box first before taking new paper.

You have done a wonderful job encouraging parents to look for green alternatives. I guess I would go one step further and encourage looking for items in second hand stores or yard sales. For example I use a wooden ruler my father had in grade school. It has a metal edge that has held up for over 60 years.

Great Lens! 5 stars and Favored.

Welcome to Unit Studies: Fun,Active, and Creative Learning where your lens is now featured.
