We all know most of the most popular 'go green' transporation tips, but do we try to incorporate them into our lifestyle? Maybe these tips will help us to 'go greener'!

Car Pool- odd how we hear this one less often than let's say 20 years ago! But it is a good one to keep in mind and try to do more regularly.

Walk- As often as possible- better for you and the environment, look into living within walking distance to your work, or consider living in a pedestrian friendly intentional community.

Bike- using your bike for transportation is a great alternative, look into your community plans and see if there is bike path committee- if there is not one consider starting a bike path group to build a safe bike path in your community!!

Motorized Bike/Scooter- Remember the fun of riding a foot powered scooter and Mopeds of the 70's? Consider buying a fancy new scooter or fuel efficient motorized scooter.... links below

Telecommute-See about option of working from home. If this is not an option ask and see if your employer would consider letting you work from home part-time.

Energy Efficient Vehicles- Learn about the choices and benefits to using energy efficient vehicles,including tax credits! I have included links and some great books on this topic!

Use Public Transportation- when possible!Google Transit public transportation makes it easy to find routes, directions, and even has a feature that lets you input your requested arrival time to plan your trip. Google Transit is available in many major cities...with more cities added daily(similiar to Google Directions but with public transportation directions and schedules)

Fuel Efficiency so you are not buying hydrid, that's ok there are lots of ways to get more fuel efficiency out of your auto. We should not overlook the benefits to keeping your car in good working order and with proper tire pressure to save both gas and money.
