I have found Green Toys while working on my lens Best US Made Toys and I think this new FAO Schwarz's idea deserves an independent lens. Green Toys use recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials to make toys that are safe and good for the earth. Every step from milk container recycling to toy production occurs in California which helps save energy, reduces landfill waste, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Green Toys contain no Phthalates or BPA, they are designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint and are sold in boxes made from recycled cardboard. A high-density polyethylene from reprocessed plastic milk jugs is said to be one of the safest and cleanest plastics around. - GREAT STUFF! I teach my little ones about all the chemicals in our foods & household products but its great to see that we are moving up in regards to extending it to kids toys as well. They are only 2 & 4 yrs old but they know not to waste water or power etc... It's our kids that we need to teach this to so they can carry it on.
