Across the country people are seeking outdoor adventure. For the privileged few this means hiking distant mountains and scuba in tropical paradise. For the rest of us some cities, towns and counties have come up with some very pleasant options. One of these are the Greenway systems of trails that allow average folks an opportunity to exercise, recreate and see a more natural world.

I live in a city in NC that has an extensive Greenway system and hope to discover all of it's complexities. In addition when I travel to other cities I look for their greenway systems. In some areas these urban paths are not known as greenways, but if they are accessible to the people without charge (or for minimal charge) I will attempt to documentment them and what makes them special.

If I can identify reliable sources for information on these I will do that.
