Gremln or Gremlin?
I'm having problems with the transition from the automated Twitter-tweeter Twaitter to the long awaited replacement known as Gremln. Twaitter has long had issues doing what it was supposed to do. In short, to send out your saved Tweets on your schedule.
My hopes for Gremln is that it will do what it is supposed to do. When that happens with regularity, this page will be updated to show how to use it, best practices, and tips.

Gremln ~ 1 year UnBirthday
On February 17, 2011, Twaitter first announced that it's name would be changed to Gremln. Soon. Before it's final migration, the Gremln logo had been peeking out from behind the Twiter logo... for more than 11 months!I think it is safe to say that every new internet site has little bugs that need to be worked out. And the best way to do that is the computer world is to have beta testing. Which Gremln did. I sometimes join beta testing, but this time I just wanted to go chugging along with Twaitter since I was trying to get back into the Squidoo frame of mind after a period of semi-absenteeism.
Well, with beta-testing completed, and Gremln rolled out to the public after the long awaited release, I would have expected a little easier migration after all this time. If I had known it was going to be this hard to get back up and running, I might have just let it shake off all the kinks before jumping in.
Like another year.

My Gremln Issues Tick List
Every Issue I've had so far. Will update with "Resolved" with solutions, if and when it happens.
Do you have any issues you'd like to see here?
Just mention them in the comments below.
-
1Frequent Exception Errors (even clicking on the site's own links).
As of February 25, 2012, seems to be less occurrences, but can't say completely resolved... yet.
-
2Copied Tweets with pre-shortened links. Gremln adds yet another shortened link that results in a fatal error for both links. Have sent an email to support, but unfortunately late Friday night. :)
Seems to be RESOLVED! Fast reply to email, but took a few more days for the errors to work themselves. Perhaps to purge out of the system?
-
3Issues with the addition of another Twitter account. Confusing schedule, so I deleted, but apparently linked regardless. Can't create another separate Gremln account?
RESOLVED: Deleted the additional account entirely from Tools, Accounts & Sites. Phew. Now have 2 separate accounts that work independently from each other without the confusion.
-
4Migration not as successful as I had hoped. Only pulled in a few Tweets from Twaitter from one of my lesser accounts. Holding on the big one. I think.
RESOLVED: Default time range is only through TODAY. Extended range easily by the calendar update button.
Larger account registered as mentioned above. RESOLVED! -
5Can't post messages from Dashboard "Click and type a message" box from one account.
RESOLVED: For some reason, at least on Firefox and Chrome, screen must be zoomed in (Ctrl+) to access. And Firefox must be zoomed in more than Chrome.
- 6February 25, 2012: The Messages screen no longer shows any date information for the "Next" column. I first noticed this yesterday. This is where the next scheduled date did previously appear.
- 7February 25, 2012: Message screen "search" no longer works? It did function correctly sometime last week. This enabled you to search for schedule tweets in the future.
- 8February 25, 2012: Also from the Message screen, the Recalculating Message icon is gone. This help me previously by reinitializing stalled tweets. No, the tweets were not paused. :)

Twaitter or Gremln? Which worked better?

Gremln works great for me!
Treasures-By-Brenda says:
So far, so good albeit not perfect. The staff at Gremln have been tremendous at responding to my questions.
Ryan says:
This is a very detailed post and I appreciate the comments. Gremln.com is a complete rewrite of Twaitter.com. We took in feedback from a lot of users over time and set out to build the ultimate social media dashboard. Its been a long road to the release.
We did a private beta for 3 months to root out any issues and make a great, bug-free product. We have since found a number of issues that we are working quickly to fix. Most of the items involve making the transition painless for our former Twaitter users.
Again, thank you for the comments and please check back with us as we make rapid improvements in our system. Competition analysis and regulatory compliance management will be out in a few weeks and the mobile apps are coming soon.
Thank You,
Ryan

I liked Twaitter better!
Radio Meltdown says:
Gremln has A LOT of issues. WE had someone unwittingly break the link between Twitter & Gremln and the scheduled tweets went into "quaratine," a status that appears in only one place-when you do a calendar view on the individual msg. They should update the main page to display all the status states including "hold" and "Quarantine." And it's down a lot, too.
Tweet McGeet says:
I liked Twaitter better because of the simplicity. If you just want to schedule a tweet and that's it, I would check out http://www.tweetlater.net. It's even simpler than Twaitter, which is a plus if you don't need extra features.
Twilight-Squid says:
but I'm willing to stick it out. I haven't searched too much for another free auto-tweeter yet.
I'm Twitter Following Gremln to get the latest News and Updates
Maybe I'll learn some Useful Tips...
..and hopefully become aware of issues and known problems, too.
Reasons I Love Gremln
1. It has a Free version almost as robust as Twaitter. (The only difference I've found: Limit is 5 auto tweets per hour, but I'm okay with that. Twaitter was 10.)
2. You can update Twitter, Facebook, FB Fan pages, Google+, and more, all at the same time.
3. I'll add more when I really find reason to love Gremln.
Success! Partial, anyway...
Updated: February 19, 2012

I've decided to start up my larger account with Gremln since I miss the status updates so much. (Since I rely on Squidoo for additional income, traffic reduction is a major concern.).
SUCCESS!!!
It seem to be working as it should with a few tweaks to a couple of transferred tweets.
I'm keeping an eye on my lesser account as it seems to be working better, but still has a few duplicated shortened links. Hopefully I will figure out the differences between the 2 accounts, or a fix is in the works.
Needless to say, I am loving Gremln a little more. :)

- As I said in the comment box previously, Gremln is working for me -- no worse than Twaitter worked. I've had some issues with the calendar, which really just means that the program offers me much the same thing I was using at Twaitter. The staff at Gremln has been fantastic -- answering questions incredibly quickly. I'm impressed with that, particularly since this is a totally free program.

- Thanks for sharing your results, Brenda. I added my larger account today with much success, so I am much happier today. Still having issues with my smaller account, but not as much as yesterday. Whoo-hoo!
