From the lens Greta Garbo - a Swedish actress.

Hilton - this is my reply to your question. Sorry for the translation...?=)

Greta Garbo was indeed a great star! there was a fight about her ashes. Hollywood legend Greta Garbo, the divine, was 84 years. She died April 15, 1990 but has still not been able to get the final resting place. Her dust is several years in an urn at a funeral in New York. Half the world has been to take her to the tomb itself. Niece Gray Reis Field has not been able to decide. She was afraid that someone would desecrate the tomb and steal the urn, which hit Charlie Chaplin. But Stockholm finansborgarråd Mats Hulth, who will host the Reis Fields visits this summer, says that it is possible to arrange for security guarantees. . . . But it must not become a wrestling match. It is up to the next of kin to determine where she should be buried. Governor Ulf Adelsohn has previously advocated Hedvig Eleonora. - Now it's completely not care for me. But I think she should be buried in Stockholm, "he says. Adelsohn has previously been given the green light from Grey Reis Field that Greta Garbo would be buried in the Hedvig Eleonora. He wrote letters and reminding Reis Field was two times for lunch with the Consul General in New York. Then it was just quiet. - I think she should be ashamed, she should long ago have been arranged for the funeral, "said Adelsohn." Just want to make money "I just think she wants to make money on this, it is my impression. In an interview in Aftonbladet two years ago, Gray said that Greta Reis Field Mugwort would be buried in Sweden. - My idea was always that my mother would accompany me to Sweden to designate the cemetery. She was a little older than Miss Garbo and they were very close friends. The mother was never well enough to travel.

She was such a beautiful actress. It was a shame how she decided to hide from the world and not act anymore, she was such an amazing talent. THank you so much for sharing as I have learned quite a few things this morning.

Greta Garbo looks terrific and gorgeous. I am now able to recollect seeing one of her famous movies Anna Karenina on TV. She acted well and looked very beautiful even in black and white.

I just went to see the grave today, was very interesting in a large cemetery in a forest, very beautiful. I have a question about the legal battle for her ashes. While I can find many references about there being an long legal battle, I can't seem to find out what it was about.

Enjoyed all of the photos. I new the studios used to be very powerful in Hollywood. How cruel that they wouldn't "allow" her to return for a visit or her sister's funeral. Evil.

It was so wrong that the studio wouldn't let her go to her sister's funeral! Loved those beautiful colorized clips. Her gravestone is beautiful. Wonderful lens; I can feel your passion for it!
