What is a Grill Pan?
I've been cooking and baking for a long time and I can honestly say that I've used many leading brands of cookware. I got a few years out of them and moved on to another leading brand. I've never really been so impressed with anything, though, that I thought I would refer it to a friend to try out or even buy the same set again, until recently.
I don't know if your familiar with grill pans, but they are an absolute dream to use in the kitchen. Calphalon and Lodge Logics make the best ones. These marvelous pans are designed like a grill. You can get cast iron grill pan or one with a non-stick surface. I prefer the non-stick surface, which makes clean up a breeze.
If you've never used a grill pan in the kitchen, you simply must try it! Hamburgers, steaks, chicken, anything you would grill on a barbecue grill, you can make on a grill pan with very similar results. Also, if your someone that likes the idea of not cooking your meat in fat, (like that of a regular pan), you'll really appreciate the way the grill pan is designed. The grill pan has grooves that allow the meat to grill, not fry.

Why I Love Using the Grill Pan
Another great benefit of using the grill pan is the clean up aspect. I chose a grill pan with a Teflon coating and clean up is a cinch. After using it, I run it under water and let it sit in the sink while we're having dinner, then when it comes time to do the dishes just wipe with a soapy sponge and wa la! It's sparkling clean ready for my next indoor barbecue.
