Grilled Steak Sandwiches - Our Family Favorite
Our family gets tired of the same old things to make on the grill. This recipe is one of our favorites. It's quick, easy, and everyone loves these sandwiches! They're especially great to make when it's really hot out and you don't want a big heavy meal.GRILLED STEAK SANDWICHES
Ingredients:
4 New York Strip Steaks (or number desired)
4 Italian Split Top Sub Buns (or other soft buns)
2 Green Bell Peppers, sliced in thin strips
1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced in thin strips
1 Large Yellow Onion, sliced in thin strips
Mozzarella Slices
Seasoning (McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning)
Olive Oil
In medium pan, saute pepper and onion slices in olive oil (about 1/4 cup). Keep heat low, so as not to burn vegetables. Cook until tender - drain any remaining oil.
Lightly season steaks with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Place steaks on hot grill, searing quickly to lock in juices. Grill to desired doneness. Place on buns, top with slice of mozzarella and pepper/onion mixture.
Enjoy with cold side salads -- Italian Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, or Macaroni Salad.
