Everyone's Got An InnerGrinch
Of course you don't like to admit it, but chances are that you have a secret InnerGrinch. The HolidaySeason can be a little too stressful for most of us. Even beyond the added obligations of shopping, preparation and parties, there are other aspects of Christmastime that to varying degrees, can sour our Yuletide cheer.For me, there seems a saturation point with several components of the season. I adore Christmastime, don't get me wrong, but it can get to be too much of a merry thing. Foremost is the onslaught of commercial advertisements, and while I appreciate the influx of new tv ads, long about December 15th, haven't we all had our fill?
And while we're giving our SharedGrinches a chance to speak, is it fair to say that by December 20th, we've been positively bombarded by ChristmasMusic? This is unfortunate because it's on ChristmasDay that I want to hear all my favorite Jollytunes, but I've already surpassed my JingleBell Threshold.
Even so, a glorious transformation still happens every ChristmasEve. We can't resist being merry and wanting to share our joy with the world. Just as in WhoVille, everyone is welcome to our celebration. Our hearts really seem to grow larger, the music is once again sweet to our ears and all of the frustrations and trials to get to those wonderful moments of ChristmasMorning seem worth it once again.
