Josh Groban is the young baritone who is defining a new genre of music. This lens supports the work of the Josh Groban Foundation and the Grobanites for Charity a group of dedicated fans working to make a difference in the lives of children around the world.
The Josh Groban Foundation (JGF) is a charitable organization with 501(C)(3) tax-exempt status. The Foundation is focused on efficient, underfunded organizations benefiting children in need all over the world through contributions to the arts, education and healthcare.
Proceeds from the sales of products on this lens will be donated by this lensmaster to the Josh Groban Foundation and the Grobanites for Charity.

Making a Difference in the Lives of Children Everywhere
Grobanites for Charities (GFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which is run by a very dedicated group of volunteers. These volunteers have banded together with thousands of Josh Groban fans all over the world to support a variety of charitable causes.Their main focus is to raise money for The Josh Groban Foundation, which supports children in need around the world through contributions to the arts, education and healthcare.
Since 2004 Josh Groban fans have already raised over $500,000 for his Foundation through on-line auctions, donations and fundraisers at fan gatherings. Few performers have such a dedicated fan base working to raise funds to do good.
The Grobanites for Charity is a good example of the changes that can occur from a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens:

- Grobanites for Africa
- Website for grassroots charity effort by fans of Josh Groban to affect positive change against the crises of hunger, poverty, and disease in Africa. Originally begun as "Grobanites for 46664", GFA is an official affiliate of Grobanites For Charity.
- Tender Totes and Heavenly Dreams
- Grobanites helping needy children by providing Tender Totes small tote bag filled with toiletries and Heavenly Dreams Pillow cases. The project is associated with the Shriners' Hospitals.
- Zamimpilo Kids - "Don't let me go it alone"
- Josh Groban Foundation and Grobanites For Charity are helping the children in this orphanage in KwaMashu, South Africa, have a better quality of life by providing funds for kitchen appliances, showers, toys and school supplies.
- Operation USA
- This is a four star charity with projects worldwide which also shares a Nobel Peace Prize. The first donations from JGF were used to help build a pre-school and a medical center in Sri Lanka following the Tsunami. Most recently, JGF and Josh's fans donated over $50,000 to Operation USA to help with Katrina Relief.
Operation USA helps communities alleviate the effects of disasters, disease and endemic poverty throughout the world by providing privately-funded relief, reconstruction and development aid. - South Central Gifted Scholar Fund
- This fund provides educational, mentoring and financial support for college bound high school students from South Central Los Angeles.
- The David Foster Foundation
- The David Foster Foundation (DFF) assists families with children in need of major organ transplants. They are a last resort organization, helping those who have no other means of financial support to cover the non-medical expenses.
- Grobanite Toy Drive
- An annual toy drive is the perfect way to bring hope to a child in need through the gift of a toy. Many find it is the perfect way to bring forward some of the light and inspiration that Josh has brought to us.
- Riley's Wishes
- Riley's Wishes is a project to assist Riley Hospital for Children with items used for therapeutic activity for children during their stay. The project will replenish items used frequently and replace those that need replaced.

What is a Grobanite?
Some Basic Definitions of Terms Use by Josh Groban Fans
- The Grobanites are a group of Josh Groban's most loyal and devoted, die-hard fans, helping to promote Josh's career by contacting radio stations and TV programs and generally "spreading the Josh" throughout our communities.
Rene' Davis describes Grobanites as "an energetic, enthusiastic, fun and very diverse group ranging in age from kids to seniors, male and female, from all over the world."
Several things that distinguish Grobanites from fans:
- 1. A "fan" sees Josh as a great singer, a Grobanite sees him as a great person who happens to have an amazing voice and a gift for creating beautiful music.
2. A Grobanite is devoted to supporting Josh by spreading the word however they can.
3. A Grobanite is a Josh fan for life!
Another Definition of Grobanites
Grobanites are dedicated fans of Josh Groban and his music; in fact, the word "dedicated: hardly describes them accurately. "Adoring" probably comes closer to portraying this group of ladies, who have accomplished some pretty impressive acts (e.g. Grobanites for Charity).
