One shot, one will.

Sharing the gospel of Christ sometimes takes weeks, months and even years to build trust and open lines of communication with a lost brother or sister but there are times when you must seize the moment, plant the seed and leave the rest to God. Times like this usually come only once. I hope you would develop your Apologetics for what you believe in but witnessing isn't about stating biblical facts; you only need to tell someone how Jesus has impacted your life.

Groundhog Day!

Have you ever had one of those days that seem to last forever, kind of like that movie Groundhog Day?
This guy goes to this quaint little town in Middle America. He plans on leaving just as fast as he arrived but something strange happens. Every morning he wakes up and repeats the day in the same town and runs into the same people and environmental scenes.

At first it gets him really upset and he hurts all the people around or at least ignores them, after all he sees the same thing everyday why care? Well after probably months of this routine his eyes are opened and he sees that he can use this day to help people and that's when he becomes the hero gets the girl and lives happily ever after.

I can remember a day that I wish could repeat. Someone asked me about my God and why he should believe in a God that loves to hurt people?

Well, I got the first part of the movie down pact. I bowed my head but not in Prayer; in shame and walked away. I don't know if this man's soul was ever planted with the word or if he died and went to hell. I just don't know...I would gladly repeat my days to have another opportunity to share my savior with all the lost people I was to afraid to speak with.

I think a major reason we don't share is because we don't have enough in us to go around. We are satisfied with knowing just enough about our father to get us in the pearly gates and we become content with accepting the mundane.

Below is a brief little message for the unbeliever you can print (copy and paste into notepad) and carry with you or memorize (tough one for me) and carry in your heart. I can most assuredly promise you that someday whether you want it or not you will have an opportunity to share Christ because someone comes to you and asks. You won't have a groundhog day like this again.

Little witness note
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I know that I have sinned. I believe that you died and rose for my sins to be washed away. I need you and want you to come into my life. Thank you Jesus for forgiving me and coming into my life forever. Please help me to learn more about you and live how you want me to.
Amen.

Modest Needs

Find out moreThis and every lens made by Forgiven (Scott Smith) proudly donates all proceeds to Modest Needs.

Founded in 2002, Modest Needs is an award-winning charity that works to stop the cycle of poverty before it starts for low-income workers struggling to afford emergency expenses like those we've all encountered before: the unexpected auto repair, the unanticipated trip to the doctor, the unusually large winter heating bill.

At Modest Needs, we believe that EVERY person has the power to make a difference. So, by choice, the work we do at Modest Needs is funded exclusively by the 'small change' donations of people just like you.

The average gift of these extraordinary people? Between $5 and $100 at a time.

Since 2002, our donors' 'small change' has stopped the cycle of poverty for 3651 individuals and families who stood to lose everything over a short-term financial emergency. But with your support, we could reach even more of the hard-working people who need our help the most.

Discover your power to change a life. Please join your friends and neighbors in supporting Modest Needs.

Because Modest Needs has earned the highest possible charity rating from the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance, you can give with confidence, knowing that we won't abuse your kindness.

But more importantly, simply by working together in this very modest way, we can make sure that no hard-working person is ever forced to choose between taking a child to the doctor and putting food on the table.

About Forgiven

I am a simple man with a wife, a baby fresh out of the oven and 2 kids that are well done =).  I make mistakes, I hurt, I cry, I love and I live. I am just a man with no degrees or labels. I offer something that can never be taken or forced, never stolen or cheated and I give freely the gift given to me; purchased at the highest cost. The most important and sacred gift of all -Love! Dig deeper, walk with me and discover the source of this amazing gift.

The majority of these lenses are designed to inspire Christians to reach for a new level in becoming kingdom minded and less worldly. While it may seem that I assume everyone is a Christian; that could not be further from the truth. I understand that the Christian movement has not grown in ages in America. My personal mission is to share Jesus Christ by giving the living testimony of my life and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to inspire and convict. Put simply, I am powerless and lowly but the Spirit within me is only limited by how much I get in the way. I am learning to "walk".

All too often people are shown the gospel of Christ and then left to figure the rest out on their own so to speak. It is my prayer that the journey or "The Walk" will not be alone, that we will become what we were designed to be: -We are the Church!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless,
Scott Smith
