GroupHappy.com Spam via MSN - How to Block?

Ranked #4,692 in Internet, #249,018 overall

A new MSN worm called "GroupHappy" is spamming the Messenger world.

I just got an MSN pop-up from one of my buddies saying I should head on over to GroupHappy.com to check out their "awesome deals". I thought about clicking it but then the Acai Baerry MSN Scam popped into my head and screamed a big NO-NO to clicking the GroupHappy link.

This is a screenshot of the page, for those that don't want to risk their computers by going to the GroupHappy.com website. I have blurred out some parts to keep this page PG-rated.

    My GroupHappy Scam Experience

GroupHappyAfter I realized the MSN message was a scam, I headed over to big-ol Google and searched for GroupHappy - nothing! Grouphappy.com - nothing!

I tried about a dozen different variations of the word Group Happy but couldn't find anything relevant so I decided to take a risk and with one hand over my eyes, I went for the big ball.

    I went onto GroupHappy.com.

I don't really know what I expected, maybe a pop up saying my computer was hacked and I'd lost my 100GB+ of movies and TV Shows, or a devil's face with a speech bubble saying "I got you!".

But surprisingly, none of that happened. I just saw men's legs and no clothes everywhere. Luckily (unluckily?) I can't post those screen shots here, so this is just what they say about their product.

New Report - Avoid GroupHappy products at all costs!

Avoid this "company" at all costs. It is simply a rigged up website using dodgy promotional techniques through MSN malware and other tactics to get you to their website. They then falsely countdown the number of minutes before their trial is up. Once they got your credit card, it's all over.

There is no product or service. It's just an attempt to get your details. Please don't fall for it.

How to block and remove the GroupHappy Malware Permanently?

Did you click on the "GroupHappy.com" link that popped up on your MSN convo screen? If you did, I hate to say this, but your computer is now infected with this bot and your friends are going to be getting the same message that you did and it will appear as if you sent it, so they are likely to click on the link as well!

This is a new scam so not much more is known, yet. However, it IS possible that the scammers have access to your PC and thus they can get your (MSN) password.

It is best if you run your anti-virus scan and remove everything detected, but if that doesn't solve the issue, or you just want to be on the safe side and block the GroupHappy popup scam permanently, here is a great website that removes all of these types of viruses. Group Happy (Grouphappy.com) MSN Scam Message

Group Happy - GroupHappy.com - MSN Virus message window

This is just one of the windows I received with the GroupHappy.com (Group Happy) MSN scam virus that is spreading quickly.

The GroupHappy.com spam message reads: "Don't be hating. If you want the ladies to pay more attention why don't you do the right thing. Until next Friday, this site is giving one free bottle of pe**s pills to anyone who orders for the first time. You just pay a couple of dollars for stamps, but thats all. They work guarenteed and dont cost nuttin. www.grouphappy.com"

And there is a new one which ends with "bet you cant top what i got over at www.grouphappy.com".

Once you click on the "www.GroupHappy.com" link, the virus enters your computer and soon enough all of your contacts (on your MSN Messenger list) will start getting the same message. That's how this kind of malware/virus spreads.
