Amusing Art Poll

We want your opinion on the Kissing Art Bandit!

Although this is not a new story I thought this was pretty funny. It seems an art enthusiast loved a painting by Cy Twombly so much that she left her lipstick imprint on it after giving it a nice big smackeroo for which she was promptly arrested. The owner, Yvon Lambert, had asked for more than $2.9 million in damages, which included the value of the painting and the $47,000 restoration cost.

The woman ended up paying the owner of the painting and the art gallery a little more than $2000.00 for damages and 500 hours of community service .

Leenashorses

Hi, guys!

I am Leena and I specialize in painting horse art - still lately I have been drawn to any art with a positive message. I created my very first link on squidoo - and the subject is, of course: horse art!
I am writing about horse art through time and on the page there are links to my website if you wish to see my art (and a link to my Cafepress store, too) as well as horse art books on Amazon. Other interesting horsey links will be added too.

More lenses coming in the future, I am sure :)

Leena :)

At bigBLUEstudio you'll find mostly vector graphics along with hand-drawn illustrations and collage work. Most of the designs are meant to be fun, but some also deal with environmental and animal rights issues that I feel are important enough to design around. Come find out why it's all BLUE!! ;)

My lenses are children's mural projects showing people how to paint their own kid's murals. I love to show people (even the most artistically challenged) just what they can achieve with a few tricks and a bit of paint http://www.squidoo.com/childrens-murals/

Tell us about your Art Blunders!

My apologies to those folks that posted an art blunder previously, when I edited this group I lost several modules and had to redo them. This seems to be an issue with other lesnes and groups. Sorry and Please Post Again!

If you are over the initial embarrassment and can laugh about it now, then it is time to get it off your chest. We'd like to know about your personal Art Blunders.

shoucate

I will start everyone off here...

I painted a children's mural for a spanish speaking couple. I always paint the childs name in the mural. The mother spelled the child's name using the spanish alphabet. When she said A, she meant E etc... Needless to say I painted the name about three times.

I am involved with the work of United States Artists, an arts advocacy andgrant making organization. I created a lens about the work of USA and will be adding more content soon. I find the work they are doing very inspiring. Check out the videos of working artists on their site in the "Encounter" section at http://unitedstatesartists.org. Let me know what you think!
