Emotional Wellbeing
This group is for lenses that involve some form of Emotional Wellbeing, primarily for children, but for adults too. I've started the group with my Selective Mutism lens & am looking for lenses that can help develop Emotional Wellbeing.
How to Join the Emotional Wellbeing Group
Information for Lensmasters Interested in Joining
Please be sure to read what this group is looking for in lenses that want to join the Emotional Wellbeing Group. I will prioritise lenses that encourage teaching life skills and emotional literacy through education to children. I will consider lenses aimed at deveolping emotional wellbeing in adults, but may not accept them if I feel they deviate too far from my aims.
If you feel you have a suitable lens to add to the group, make sure that your lens is appropriate for this group, has a focus for this audience and we have a way of contacting you.
1. Lens Focus. The lens should address an aspect of Emotional Wellbeing, in particular for children.
Emotional Wellbeing emcompasses areas such as:
(In no particular order)
Anger Management
Feelings & Emotions
Social Skills
Friendships
Self Esteem
Bereavement & Loss
Divorce & Seperation
Friendship skills
Motivation
Bullying
Transition
Attachments
Selective Mutism
Body language
Spacial awareness
In Fact, any area you can think of that may have an Emotional Impact on a childs wellbeing, development and behaviour.
2. Audience - The audience is anyone who has an interest in Emotional Wellbeing. This may be a Teacher, Educator or a Parent looking to expand their knowledge or maybe get some ideas for strategies or resources.
3. Contact - Does your lens have a way of contacting you? (The "Allow contact?" toggle is "on" under "Email Preferences" in your My Profile.)
Ok, still want to join the group? Go across to the right side of the page & you'll see a link which says 'add an existing lens' click & follow the instructions! After I've looked at your lens, you'll receive a message to say if you've been succesful. Please don't be offended if I reject your request. I want this to be a resource base where Educators and Parents can come for information and ideas.
We look forward to you joining the Emotional Wellbeing Group on Squidoo.
The Emotional Wellbeing Group Master
I also train staff and provide support and supervision.
What I found when I had to put my lens into a category, was where to put it? Was it health? Or where? So I decided it would be useful to have a common area for all those lenses that address some form of Emotional Wellbeing.
Emotional Wellbeing covers a huge amount of topics that affect us in our everyday lives.
Emotional Wellbeing is also known as Emotional Literacy.
I look forward to reading all of your lenses!
