The Director's Chair features lenses about film directors.

Pick up a camera. Shoot something. No matter how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your friends and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now you're a director. Everything after that you're just negotiating your budget and your fee.

-- James Cameron

To me the director's job is to leave it in better shape than you found it, literally.

Director's Cuts

Sometimes the director's cut of a film is an artistic choice and sometimes it represents a battleground between an artist and a movie studio. Some film fans swear by a director's vision and some don't. Here are some movies known for the director's cut version as much as for their originals.

Very hard to choose... Maybe in relation to works and great movies, I would choose Steven Spielberg.

If I had to pick, hmm tough one, but if I really had to it would be either Ridly Scott or Michael Mann. Okay Okay, I would say Michael Mann, I love Heat, Collateral, Ali, Last of the Mohicans and The Insider. Miami Vice sucked though.
