Unschooling Teens

A group for lenses about unschooling, for unschoolers (and their parents) or otherwise relating to this non-structured education style.

What is Unschooling?

Many people have many ideas about what it is, ranging from a life where the child/teen does whatever s/he wants. (ie, plays video games all day if they want to.) There's nothing wrong with taking the occasional day to play video games, but it shouldn't be every day.

When I refer to unschooling, I am speaking of a non-structured education that is still very much an education. These unschoolers pursue opportunities like internships, mentorships, future careers, etc. They do more than the average student.

Thank you for putting together an Unschooling Group. Unschooling is by far the best way to educate your child.

By the way, do you know about Algers Learning Center in Washington State. They offer credits for unschooling High Schoolers who want documentation of credits and a diploma.
