Most gamers think that having a game tester job sounds like a dream job. One thing they don't realize is that like other jobs, video game testing can be very boring. You really have to love video games to enjoy the hard work. Many in the industry will tell you that they love thier work, and they do. But, let's be real for a minute, it is not for every one.

Video game testing... While is may sound glamourous, the work can be a bit tedious at times. As a tester you may be required to play through the same levels of the same games over nad over again. It can take quite a long time to work through a game level to flesh out all the possible bugs.

Most people who are not familiar with what game testers do imagine that they spend their day playing through the latest and greatest new titles. To some extent this may be true but it's not the whole story. People that are not insiders don't really understand how much "work" game testers are really doing. It's not all just about fun and games.
