Welcome Friends!
This Group was created by SilverspoonMurals.Com for people that simply enjoy anything having to do with art. I just wanna have fun and I hope you do too! I set up this group to not only give you art information, but hopefully you can have some fun while you learn something new.

If you like Art Quotes, working on Arts and Crafts projects, like to read Art News, want to share recommended Art Lenses, enjoy telling about your Art Blunders, taking art polls, want to find Art Competitons, this is the place to be!

If there is something you would like to see on here that you don't see, you can post a suggestion at the bottom of the page.

For those artists out there wishing to get free traffic to your art website or art lens where you are selling your own art, Click Here to Post Your Link!

Or if you are looking for free content for your art website or art lens or group, you can get free arts and crafts articles via RSS feeds and JavaScript feeds right here. Also, I just created a customizable widget you can place on your website that gives you either ART QUOTES OR ART FACTS. You can also add this as a GOOGLE GADGET for your Google Home Page.

Check out my other lens on Squidoo for more art projects and DIY Information.

For a quick Art and Crafts related RSS Feed for your squidoo lens, just copy and paste the following code in your RSS module for your Squidoo Lens!

I'm a painter living in Virginia outside of Washington DC. My husband is in the Navy so we move a bit.

I work in watercolor and oil. My favorite thing to do is explore using watercolor on different surfaces. So far a piece of maso painting white is my favorite.

Hi, guys!

I am Leena and I specialize in painting horse art - still lately I have been drawn to any art with a positive message. I created my very first link on squidoo - and the subject is, of course: horse art!
I am writing about horse art through time and on the page there are links to my website if you wish to see my art (and a link to my Cafepress store, too) as well as horse art books on Amazon. Other interesting horsey links will be added too.

More lenses coming in the future, I am sure :)

Leena :)

Tell us about your Art Blunders!

My apologies to those folks that posted an art blunder previously, when I edited this group I lost several modules and had to redo them. This seems to be an issue with other lesnes and groups. Sorry and Please Post Again!

If you are over the initial embarrassment and can laugh about it now, then it is time to get it off your chest. We'd like to know about your personal Art Blunders.

I will start everyone off here...

I painted a children's mural for a spanish speaking couple. I always paint the childs name in the mural. The mother spelled the child's name using the spanish alphabet. When she said A, she meant E etc... Needless to say I painted the name about three times.

It may be fun to post a piece from a different member each week and then have a discussion about the piece. This could either be done here on the group page, or we could have a lens dedicated to the discussion of each piece with links to each discussion lens here on the group page. Now that I am thinking this thing through, the easiest thing would probably be to have the artist make his or her own discussion lens, which would consist of nothing more than the artwork image, a few lines about the piece, and a guest book module. And links to the discussion lenses could be here on the group page. What do you think? Just a thought.
