We want your opinion on the Kissing Art Bandit!Although this is not a new story I thought this was pretty funny. It seems an art enthusiast loved a painting by Cy Twombly so much that she left her lipstick imprint on it after giving it a nice big smackeroo for which she was promptly arrested. The owner, Yvon Lambert, had asked for more than $2.9 million in damages, which included the value of the painting and the $47,000 restoration cost.
The woman ended up paying the owner of the painting and the art gallery a little more than $2000.00 for damages and 500 hours of community service .

Hi, guys!
I am Leena and I specialize in painting horse art - still lately I have been drawn to any art with a positive message. I created my very first link on squidoo - and the subject is, of course: horse art!
I am writing about horse art through time and on the page there are links to my website if you wish to see my art (and a link to my Cafepress store, too) as well as horse art books on Amazon. Other interesting horsey links will be added too.
More lenses coming in the future, I am sure :)

Tell us about your Art Blunders!
My apologies to those folks that posted an art blunder previously, when I edited this group I lost several modules and had to redo them. This seems to be an issue with other lesnes and groups. Sorry and Please Post Again! If you are over the initial embarrassment and can laugh about it now, then it is time to get it off your chest. We'd like to know about your personal Art Blunders.

I will start everyone off here...
I painted a children's mural for a spanish speaking couple. I always paint the childs name in the mural. The mother spelled the child's name using the spanish alphabet. When she said A, she meant E etc... Needless to say I painted the name about three times.

[in reply to annanelson] Too late. I decided to make my own group dedicated to Art Critiques. The group is named Fine Art Critique and can be found at http://www.squidoo.com/groups/artcritique. All visual fine arts are welcome and I would like to invite you to join.

It may be fun to post a piece from a different member each week and then have a discussion about the piece. This could either be done here on the group page, or we could have a lens dedicated to the discussion of each piece with links to each discussion lens here on the group page. Now that I am thinking this thing through, the easiest thing would probably be to have the artist make his or her own discussion lens, which would consist of nothing more than the artwork image, a few lines about the piece, and a guest book module. And links to the discussion lenses could be here on the group page. What do you think? Just a thought.
