Why Choose blujay?

blujay.com is a 100% free online classified ads marketplace. No listing fees, no fees for sold items, no storefront fees. At blujay, free means free. What blujay is NOT is an auction site. The sellers at blujay use fixed price ads to sell in their own individual storefront. You can also set negotiable prices and allow shoppers to make an offer, if you choose. Listing is fast and easy, using a one page form. HTML is allowed in ads and in your store's description, or About Me, area. blujay provides up to four .jpg or .jpeg format images in each ad, 100 (yes, 100!) title characters, and up to 10,000 characters in the product description field. Since HTML is allowed, it is possible to add more photos within your description area if you use a hosting service. A time-saving Post Copy feature is also available on the listing page. It clones parts of the ad you choose to copy, then you only change the portions that need to be changed instead of starting from scratch - a real time saver! At the beginning of August blujay introduced Custom Categories for even more fine-tuning of your storefront as well as customer convenience.

PSU (powersellersunite.com) currently shows blujay ranked as 7th on the list of selling sites in terms of number of listings, at 341,014. (That's when counting eBid UK and ebid US as one entity.) When I started watching blujay's climb through those ranks, they were closer to 5th from the bottom, with less than 50,000 listings. It's been a steady climb, and for the most part management has kept pace and the site is relatively free of problems.

Management offers sellers a great deal of freedom and virtually no interference in your business unless you violate their Terms of Service. Each store has a shopping cart and can choose whatever form of payment they desire. PayPal and Google Checkouts are integrated into the cart.

As easy as the site is to get set up and start listing on, sometimes you may run into a problem or have a question. In that case, the forums are the place to go. They are well-known as the most helpful and most pleasant around. If there's an answer, they'll have it. If it's something you have to go to the administrator for, they'll let you know how to do that. Crazy nice!
