Horses: Teachers, Healers, and Most Of All - Friends

How horses help us heal - emotionally and physically. Horses as teachers for us to be better people. And most importantly, how horses are our friends.

Life With Our Horses

Tell Us Your Story

Horses make our lives richer. They can teach us something new just about everyday. Our horses are there for us when we need a shoulder to lean or cry on - and let's face it, they have shoulders like mountains for that job. There is a unique friendship to be found with a horse.

Horse owners are always seeking out new information regarding horses, so let's all join together and share our stories about our best friends. The sky is the limit on what topic you want to share - good times, bad times, things you have learned, training tips, grooming tips, nutrition, hoof care, foaling, etc.

I am a 74 years young retired MD who found Paso Fino horses at age 50. Pasos are not just smooth, they are as personable as dogs. We recently moved from a small coral in LA to 16 fenced acres in Texas. The gratitude of my horses is palpable. They don't just tolerate, they enjoy being hugged. Pasos are unique in that they are all different colors and many change colors as they age. They are very good with my 4 grandkids. Never have to worry about them being kicked or stepped on. One named Flamenco is a real hunk. I also trained his daddy whose picture is on the back of my book "Control Your High Blood Pressure Without Drugs" (Hanging around horses is good for your blood pressure.)

Hi guys!

I am a horse artist and just created my first lense - on horse art through the ages, of course :) Have been nuts about horses since I was three years old and met a police horse in a park. Mother came to the rescue (mine or the horses, I´m not quite sure) when I was almost climbing up the leg of the horse after running to see it closer. After having a conversation with Mom (no, she did not agree to me taking the horse home with us), I took out my crayons and drew my first horse. And haven´t stopped since...

I adore horses, and I look forward to learning and sharing with everyone about the horses that I have been blessed to know in my lifetime...
