Introducing Lindsey Graham

Our political culture and government processes have become dark places of partisanship and bickering. Those from each side of the aisle form groups and never allow their minds to meet. We desire good policy and clean politics, yet we vote for and encourage the slimy stuff we see. In the darkness we call Washington political culture there is a light: South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham.

Lindsey is a unique conservative because he always attempts to work with colleagues; Democrat or Republican. He always tries to find a way to advocate effectively for his ideas and will work out compromises that allow both sides to have a little of what they want.

Lindsey in Afghanistan

Lindsey just returned from a two week stint in Afghanistan where he was training Afghan lawyers and judges in US concepts such as rule of law. This duty was a chance for him to use the skills he gained through 20 plus years and his excellent communication ability to teach others concepts he cares about. This is a wonderful contribution to the battle against terrorism.

Detainee Discussion

Let's discuss our policy ideas and the rule of law!

We have been detaining terrorism suspects at Guantonomo Bay, Cuba since we began capturing them on the field of battle. We haven't tried very man, nor have we determined their status. This policy was struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld. We must now come up with a policy that is consistent with the court decision, and more important the values that make our country great.
