Hua Hin is very close to Bangkok and has loads of Thai and western tourists, which is fine if that is what you need. A very nice place for those who have little time to explore and visit other areas.
Go for it, better than Pattaya if you want to be away from the bars and drunks.Great for families if time is limited.
