Artists in History - Resources for Art Lovers
This group is about artists who produced art mostly before 1900. It provides a home for and is limited to lenses created by makingamark (Katherine Tyrrell) which contain all the information and links gathered by her about different artists from the past.
Please note artists working predominantly in the 20th and 21st centuries have now been transferred to Modern Artists - Resources for Art Lovers
Applications to join a separate group Find Out About Famous Artists about notable traditional and modern artists are encouraged.
