Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) is a complaint that can affect 10% of children, but many people working with children, including teachers and health professionals, have not heard of it. It is an "invisible" condition that frequently goes undiagnosed, despite the fact that it is more common than Dyslexia.

I have just published a lens on APD, which is essential reading for every parent who suspects that their child may have learning difficulties but no one seems to be able to diagnose what is wrong.

Teenagers can push you to the cliff BUT not over it if you learn to understand them :) Its very hard sometimes to be patient and listen - you know through all the yelling - but when you listen you can hear the scared kid trying to figure out who he or she is :)

Hi I am the UK mother of four children but I think the many issues that mums have to deal with are the same the world over. I will be posting lenses that will often be about my experiences and what I have learned from them. I will also post links to my Blog, which I have just started, that may give a more personal viewpoint of things that have happened. I hope that my experiences will help other Mums/Moms out there. One of my first lenses is about bullying. It is sheer hell if your child is bullied and if I knew then what I know now, then I think we would have resolved our problems a lot faster. Im in need of size 1 pants, size small/medium in junior/small petite womens tops for myself. My daughter needs size 6-9 months clothes & size 2 shoes. Ever since giving birth 99% of my clothes does not fit. I sit around wearing pj's in the house because my other pants are so tight you can see every crack!
