Bonsai Forever

Do you wake up in the morning thinking about bonsai? Have you thought about naming your bonsai? Do you postpone vacations because you don't have someone to take care of your bonsai? If you love bonsai, as do I, then come on in.

Bonsai Love

If you've got bonsai love then this is a fine home for your lens.

Anything bonsai is welcome here. How-to's, history, where to find the best, personal bonsai experiences, etc. If it's bonsai, we'd love to read it.

What's Happening

How's your bonsai?

Have you tried any of the various techniques - root pruning, grafting, potting up, repotting, wiring, weights, etc.? Bonsai minds want to know. How did it turn out? Are you happy with the results?

What's Your Favorite Mix?

Soil - that is.

I buy the standard bonsai soil mix (sand, peat, loam) from the local nursery. For some plants I add extra sand for quicker drain. I've ordered some akadama (from eBay seller, of course) and anxiously waiting to try mixing that with my mix from the nursery.

My personal favorite charity website:

Hats For The Homeless | There, but for the Grace of God, go I.
I crochet hats for homeless people. Twice each winter for the past 3 years I have given well over 300 hats to the homeless. Can you help?
