The Charity Giants
This group is all about letting Giant Squids give something back through their lenses.
Charity Giants? What's This?

Charity Giants is a group for Giant Squids to give back. In June 2008 alone, Squidoo donated over $8,000 to charities. We think that's pretty impressive. And, we think we can do better. So here's a brand new platform for Giant Squids to show off their charity lenses.
How Do I Get In?
- You need to be a Giant Squid. (Find out more about Giant Squids.)
- Let the whole world know what you are doing. Your lens should have a module in it that says which charity you are donating to. (Just ask and I'll forward you the code to create a module, and a Charity Giant insignia you can use as well!)
- Your lens needs to donate 100% of it's income to one of the following five charities (click on any charity name for more information about them):
- The Squidoo Charity Fund
- Planet Gumbo
- Cancer Research & Prevention Foundation
- The Humane Society
- EarthJustice
- Just click the "Add An Existing Lens" link to the right and you're on your way!!
What Do I Write About?
"The world is your oyster..."
There is an ocean of possibilities waiting to be explored. Your lens can be on any topic you would like (it does however need to have a freindly "G" rating please). It doesn't have to be a new lens, you can join with a lens that already donates it's entire proceeds, or you can change over an existing lens to donate. Or, create something fresh and donate it. You'll be surprised at how easy it is to help folks - and how good it will feel to know you are a part of something great.

I have a charitable lens at SaintJudes but also ALL the rest of my lenses help pay to feed and care for our many pets including cats and chickens. I hope to get another dog when I can afford a real home of my own. (Our landlord doesn't allow dogs in our apartment). I own land with a garden and brook where we house our chickens, but hope to build a home there somehow.
