Festivals Around The World

Nearly every day, something special is celebrated somewhere around the world. National and regional traditions are celebrated by the people who are passionate or curious about them, much like Squidoo Lensmasters. This is Festival Lens Central. All lenses whose main topic portays any kind of national or regional, ethnic or religious, traditional or modern public festivities are invited to join!

About the Festival Lenses Group 

Mission Statement

Nothing is ever carved in stone, but to begin with here are some group guidelines to help us further our cause:

  1. Eligible lenses must focus on a festival event as their main topic.

  2. Lenses should focus on a public event, not family or business parties.

  3. Members should be considerate and supportive to each other.

  4. Visit each others' lenses and rate and/or bookmark/favorite them.

  5. Leave a friendly comment if there is a guest book.

  6. Have fun! Spread the love! Make more festival lenses!

For recognition and inspiration, we will induct lenses into the Festival Lenses Hall Of Fame that meet any of the following criteria:


  1. are or have been in the Top 100 lenses overall, or

  2. are or have been in the Top 10 of their respective categories, or

  3. are members of the official LOTD (Lens of the day) Group, or

  4. have garnered some other Squidoo award (Lens of the year, best in class, future awards)


Please don't be shy, let me know when your lens fulfills any of the criteria! We want to know so we can celebrate with you!
