It also gives you a possibility to join GROUPS where people can find all lenses that have something in common!
Why to join a group? Well, it gives you exposure - especially if your lens is one of featured lenses and you are one of featured lensmasters in some group!

Here are the RULES:
1. You joined Squidoo in past month and / or have no more than 5 published lenses!
2. Your lens is completed! (More about this in Fresh Squid FAQ.)
3. You must have 'Contact me' button enabled in your profile.
4. You don't get offended if you are rejected - you improve your lens and submit it for acceptance again!
What this group offers?
You, as new lensmaster and newcomer to Squidoo gets one month to be featured lensmaster and have one of your lenses in featured lenses! After your lens is featured for a month, it will be removed from group and somebody else will get your place!
Also, all lenses that are featured in Fresh Squid group, will be included into monthly Fresh Squid Contest! To give ya all a bit more promotion!

We created a community - a playground for Fresh Squids on Ning!
This Ning community is adjusted as a safe playground or learning center for Fresh Squids - you will have all the help from experienced lensmasters, veterans on Squidoo and many of them are Giant Squids or 100 Club members. You'll be able to learn about all aspects of lensbuilding - from using different modules to lens promotion. You can also, if you like, participate in weekly contests. I don't know how to pick my favorite any more! Would love to enter whatever the current or next contest is. It's cool that this is such a welcoming community, there is a lot to learn and it could be a little overwhelming!
